there are all negative sides, but the victorious feeling that you get from winning or making your racing pigeon come home from far away land supercedes this. Many of pigeons may get lost and choose not to come home or maybe eaten by a falcon, but once one of your pigeon comes home versus so many, you cherish that moment and remember that forever, unlike just sitting around and watching rollers all day. Remember in life there is downs and up. But you always think of the ups over the downside.
Well, it is your opinion, but as for me I prefer the racing pigeons. I've been to fancy pigeons before but when I learned about racing pigeons and its ability to race home against the odds, it amazed me, since then I became marveled by its competitive nature. Breeding them and selecting them according to there capacity is very exciting and something you look forward to. I consider them as my athletes and i'm there coach and trainer. I guess you didn't appreciate much of that about racing pigeons

I've watched them cause before I went for racing pigeons i took care of a lot of fancy pigeons. After sometime I got tired of them. Try racing pigeons and when you get your racing pigeon come home or beat your competitors over islands and bad weather, you'll experience a feeling you never can't experience in tumblers and rollers. If a pigeon is lost so be it, you just let nature handle it. Even tumblers and rollers got lost around the loft.
I have both racing and fancy pigeons pretty much all my life ..but for some reason I have the feeling that this guy ask 10 time's more for a pigeon that what it actually worth...wins or not...
