The blade exchange was very difficult on mine when I first got it, back after it breaks in a bit and you have a feel for the knife, it becomes very easy and quick to do.
I just got one of these yesterday and i noticed the same thing with changing the blade. I thought mine was messed up too. At least i don't have to worry about it just slipping out
10/10 for the cool design and prybar, there is another version of this and it's even smaller (gerber prybrid x), a regular utility knife would be more durable, yes this types of knives are towards edc, preppers, if you find other types of knives that would be super cool, nice review :D

Gerber used to make quality tools. They still make some like the LMF and Strongarm, but today it feels like they keep throwing designs at the wall to see what sticks. Not a survival tool at all in my opinion. More a tradesman gift, maybe.
Good points, can't necessarily disagree. But I pick up some survivalist vibes from the 8 tools and especially the prybar. I would find it useful to have on me for camping, backpacking, etc.
@@Logan_urbex Utility knives are popular in the woods because of the disposable blades. Hunters use them. Survivalist use them. Trappers use them. And bushcrafters use them. Of course traditional knives are also in the mix, but just they have their origins in the shop doesn't prevent them from finding a home in the woods. I also use folding shop saws in the woods and for cutting bone when gutting/quartering big game. Heck I used to have a Stanley wood saw near the campfire pit for sawing up branches. Worked fine and safer for the younger set than the coarse tooth bowsaw.
Yeah, I'm good. Thanks for checking in Daniel Dick! I've been super busy with my real job the last month, so didn't have any time for videos. I've got a bunch of knives waiting for me though (some fun ones too) and a few other video topics I'll be doing. I'm hoping to have something up in the next week or two. Hopefully regular again after that.
