So much for straight forward🤣. Thanks for watching guys. Oh and the new mic I purchased from sticker sales was used here. A nice improvement I think. Thanks to all the supporters👊
In the UK we have tight laws on knives, and this one, with the blade length and folding blade, suits me in my work as greenkeeper. It works well for what i need it to do at work
I actually like it! It reminds of a 1960s ford in color.. looks comfortable and good lines. I agree with you that they have great designs just underdeveloped in quality and materials.. but it’s also a relatively inexpensive knife.. I would prefer the charge more and up their game
Hi from England, our laws are restrictive but if you need a certain knife for a job you will be allowed to carry it to the job or camping area but not go in shops with it ect. The slip joint is an ideal pocket knife for when you just carry it in case you need it. It gives me great pleasure watching others enjoy the unique beauty of slip joint knives.
EXCELLENT review. Seriously, incredibly thorough and fair on all of the objective and subjective points. Far better than mine, lol. I am glad you like-ished it! I’m going to have to go back and watch my review. Although I still would pass on it, my response/review was one of “I love this design and I’m so excited to get it aaaaaand I hate it.” Lol. Thanks for giving it a thorough evaluation and a fair shake. The mic sounds great btw. 👊
Thanks man, if I was gerber I would speed up the renaissance they are trying to go through. If I was a competitor of thiers i would be trying to steal their designers lol. Appreciate the words man, and am grateful for you handing this knife off to me. 👊
Great detailed review man, TY for sending her my way to check out really appreciate that as I was on the fence with this. So far I love and hate it, wish it had a longer pocket clip(nitpicks) and that plastic piece I hate(sorry). Agree with everything you said on this one, that jimpin lol. Idk, besides my nitpicks I did enjoy the video and love that you sent it over for me to try before spending my money. Will be sure to do my own video and mention ya bro
I liked the review. It was very fair and well structured. I also like the blade shape wish it had better steel some reason alot of slipjoints just don't have good steels. Should be easy to sharpen. I know Sean didn't like it. Think he had higher expectations going in and it let him down. I understand that have been there a few times. Very good sound on new mic. Look forward to more.
The flatiron seems cool, the only issue ive repeatedly heard of on those was they are hard to disassemble. Other than that it seems to be a solid knife.
bought this today in UK, we have a cloudy line on knives, one shop would not let me feel it in my hand even, the sales person was even wary about taking it out of the cabinet. Makes life hard when you want to feel how it is in your hand.......i just need a knife for slicing meat that is legal in UK if you are camping. Law is a ass!!!!!!!!! £21.75 GBP Blacks Leisure
oh man did you hit the nail on the head by the comment about Gerber having really good designs, but their fit, finish and materials fall flat. For some of their designs I would have gladly paid a little more for a better build quality. I bought a Gerber (not this one) in this price range and the action was so poor it is almost unusable and gave it away because I could not stand to see such a good looking knife that I wanted to use, but with such a poor build and function quality.
Damn. I really liked the Americana vibe this knife gives. Buy that cheap plating and plastic piece are a no go from me. When I found my dad's old pocket knife when I was 12, it still shined like a nickel and was well kept together even after all the years he put it through in the carpentry trade. My kid would probably find this years from now and it would be rusted, chipped up, and cracked.
