Thanks so much for posting these GI reviews/quizzes. I've been watching and studying for my Endo/GI exam this week (last one of nursing school! WOOT!). I will definitely be reviewing everything you've posted for my NCLEX this summer! :)
Thank you so much for sharing your nurse experience, your video is so amazing I feel 100% connected with what you presented because I have had chronic GERD for over 30 yrs. I had most all symptoms you mentioned & took most all kind of medication but nothing helped.
I’m crying real tears of joy. I went from a 68% on my first exam to a 90% on my second one after watching all of your videos!! You’re so amazing and thank you for all that you do and helping struggling students like me ❤️
No doctor has been able to figure out why I have had Gerd, Gastritis, and IBS for 4 years. I take 80mg of esomeprazole and it does nothing. Watching videos to try to figure it out myself.
Because you've been of great help to us nursing students, i've already subscribed to your channel and already watched more than 20 of your vids and i'm planning to finished everything before my exam. By the way, is the guy on your other vids your husband? He's also good. Thanks a million!
I've been nursing almost 8 years. Currently in a Doctorate in Nursing Practice program, and I STILL find your videos to be very helpful tools with my current curriculum. Thank you!
I know this was made a couple years ago but I’ve been desperate to get better and heal my esophagus and GERD. I was diagnosed a couple months ago and I’m having terrible anxiety and fear of eating I’ve lost almost 20 pounds that I need back, but I’ve been going to the right doctors and therapists and I feel like I’m losing my mind i just turned 20 and I just want to live a healthy life thank you soooooo much for this video I will never forget this lesson 🙏🏻
Hi there I know this comment was a while ago but might I ask why you were anxious to eat? I been having lately so many episodes after eating like food stuck in my throat
I just wanted to drop by here and tell you that I have been subscribed for the past two years and you have helped me so much. Because of your videos not only did I pass my nursing school exams but I always got the top 1 spot. ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for this vid I am someone who has had this disease almost all my life and I liked to learn more about it. All those foods you had that make it worse it's so true! People think I am picky but if they felt like they were going to throw up for hours just because of fast food or there throat burning because of a little soda and it hurts to burp they won't want that stuff anyway! They make my stomach ten times worse than normal! I also liked how you addressed it's not always acidic in feeling my symptoms are almost always nausea or my throat feels swollen most of the time it's just annoying for me other times it goes on for hours and I feel sick too.... Well this was fun to watch while waiting for my Tums to work thanks a lot!
Every time I finish watching a video, I just sit here and clap because I find it SO amazing how you can condense information and present it so well! Eternally thankful for you and your videos!!!
These videos are so great, you should think about becoming a clinical professor because students would love you! The videos have helped me get a good grade in my med surg class. You explain everything so well, I recommend your videos to everyone. :)
Thank you very much for the kind comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. Thank you for recommending my videos...that is so AWESOME!
Im tired of waking up in the middle of the night wondering if i can cough up all the stomach acid in my lungs or if i will suffocate. Time to go to the doctor, your video shed some light on my issue.
Very AWESOME! Congratulations :) I'm so happy you passed. I'm very honored my videos helped you prep. Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment. Best wishes in your new career as a nurse.
I Have had this for three and a half months ,it is very painful .It only really acts up when I walk around or move around the apartment or lift things .Ugh.
I swear doctors deny this but i have extremely bad gerd and my BP spikes really high during a episode. Have you ever witnessed it? One doctor did see it and found it interesting, had a episode that hurt bad. They took me to the back and did a cardiac work up and it was clear but he seen the BP high but normal is in the 120s over 80s but during a episode i can see 160 over 105 and feel bad chest pressure but cardiac work up is clear. I suspect its because of the pain and because i may be anxious about how bad it feels and that causes the rise in BP but wasn't sure and was curious about it.
I’m not in the medical field.. but simply searched my symptoms on RU-vid... (Sorry to say after explaining my symptoms to my Doctor ... she never addressed it). Although this info is directed to medical pros... it was VERY helpful to me! Thank you.. !!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I will have exam in 2 weeks that will include GERD, I looked for GERD video earlier and I didn't find it. so thank you so much Sarah for making one. This will help me so much.
Great timing! I'm so happy I got this video done. More GI videos are to follow...so stay tuned! I hope you ace your exam in 2 weeks. Thank you for watching the videos and for your comment.

You're most welcome, Mitzi :) I'm very happy my videos can help you understand GI disorders which allows you to understand your patients better. Your patients are very blessed to have you. Thank you for the comment!
Also just want to thank you for your videos. I am only 33 but i habe GERD and i also have Supra ventricular tachycardia (atrial tachy) so its annoying lol.
Pretty scary stuff! I was surprised to see antihistimines on the list that can make the lower LES weaker! Great presentation, very interesting. Thanks so much! 👍😎
Thank you, Tony! I know..it is crazy how medications can cause problems while trying to fix other issues. Thank you, as always, for being a dedicated viewer...I really appreciate it!
