► In today’s video, we are going to be talking about how to play Airsoft in Germany.
We will have a Phoenix fam look at the German Laws and regulations around airsoft and how to find a field or event near you to play at.
So I'm bringing you guys who are interested a little guide on how to actually deal with that as most info is actually in German.
First, there are some very important laws and regulations here in Germany that have to be followed otherwise you can run into some serious trouble. So let's get that out of the way before I show you how to find a field or event near you.
As a guideline, Airsoft is usually only allowed over the age of 18 years.
DISCLAIMER My contribution to this guide is not legal advice and does not replace it! I only refer to German law and regulations and speak of my experiences in the German airsoft scene.
The first and most important LEGAL REGULATION in Germany is that your airsoft replica body needs to have the “f im fünfeck” - “f in the pentagon”.

Long story short: If your Gun is not bought in germany you are NOT allowed to bring it in. (Import of an illegal firearm!!!) Any Airsoft gun over 0.5J up to 7.5J is regulated by the german gun law. Same regulations and restrictions like a real firearm. You need to be 18+ years of age to buy and operate the gun, it is locked to semi only and the gun requires the F im Fünfeck(F in Pentagon) and the Caliber lasered or printed permantly & visible on the gun itself. Weapons below 0.5J are considered as toy and can be used and purchased by the age of 14. You can bring your own 0.5J gun to germany. they are also allowed to shoot full auto. they don't requiere the F stamp. but you have to transport and secure them like a real firearm as well as the 18+ Airsoft guns.

small correction on the "Flashlights". It is possible to mount a flashlight on a 0.5J Weapon, because they are considered as "toys". BUT. It is illegal to own a flashlight or laser wich is specifically made for weapons (like a PEQ Box or Surefire Flashlight with Picantinny Connection). No matter if it is connected with the weapon or not. But if you connect a normal Flashlight ti a 0.5J Weapon with lets say an Scope O-Ring wich is not specifically designed for the use to connect a flashlight or if you tape it or strap it to the gun, its totally legal. You can read this in the so called "Jagdlampenurteil" from 2009 AZ: BVerwG 6 C 21.08 VG 6 E 1435/07 (2) .

The regulations here are way too strict. I think a few should be loosend just a lil bit with the addition of having to mark a gun as a toy by either attaching orange tape or something similar to the guns. Aditionally fields should be able to choose their own rules regarding full auto.

I do agree but do to the German laws it’s really tricky. They tried to changed it a while ago but they didn’t even bother with airsoft. We were so close to have full auto but then - nono

@@PhoenixFeatherAirsoft It's truly annoying. We really just wanna do sport and "they" don't care at all which is awful and even hurtful to see. They should really start looking into it and realize that there needs to be a clear distinction between actual guns and toy/sport guns. You can get some deadly crossbows off amazon which count as toys. Ridiculous.

This really helped me on my way to start with airsoft in Germany and I think to be 14 to start airsoft is a good age unlike in America where you will have some 9 year old kids screaming after getting shot in the back which makes the 14 Age Requirement good since you already went through puberty and all that stuff. I hope my parents will let me on my airsoft journey in about 2 years since thats when I am 14, and was hoping to go to airsoft ever since last year.

If you drive through Germany to Czech Republic or any other country you can get a customs exemption but its alot of paperwork and time consuming. As far as i know you need to get it controlled by the customs and put a seal on it, for each crossing.

Hypothetically.....what if you reduced the size of the spring in your AEG to 0.4, can you still get touched up by the police? Also assuming you are smart enough not to keep the full power spring with you

Hey nice video! I live in germany and im interested in airsoft. I am from the Netherlands and i know that you need a membership of the NABV to be allowed to have an airsoft weapon in your home. But i cant find anything in germany that someone is required to have a membership for airsoft. Is that true? Do you only need to be older than 18 years old and an F-stamp? Thanks in advance!! Just curious, what if you swap out your spring for example to a weak one to ho under 0.5J, and then switch back in event for example border war. Then you wouldnt get your stuff seized in the border correct?

Absolute grey area. Really hard subject. The law states that the "power source/ drive type" cannot be changed. So is it chenged if you go to HPA - bc technically its till air but it has somehow "changed". The best way is to order a HPA from a german store. The bodys have also HPA engraved next to the F mark.

Hey Felipe, this is very difficult! The only way that would be legal if you 1. would downgrade it to shoot below 0.5j with 0.2g bbs as your replica most certainly has a full auto mode. In Germany it has to be that full auto replicas shoot below 0.5j. Those are considered "toys" and do not need an F Stamp. 2. You go to a gunsmith and make a "Einzelabhnahme" (single stamp request) but it will cost you around 500-600€. My recommendation would be to sell the lower as this is where the F stamp is located and buy a new one from a German shop. That would have the F-Stamp and is single shot only. This is going to be a tough one!

Depends where you live. On private property it might be legal but don’t quote me on that because it is probably not. Also in the 3 years it would lay around the general industry will get a lot more advanced so your Airsoft might be outdated while never playing with it

This is what I am trying to figure out! But I wonder a few things. First of all, would they confiscate the guns to investigate them, ie chrono them themselves? Assuming it came under 0.5 they should give them back, right? But, again, maybe they know about npas, and decide to chrono the gun at it's highest power, then you are in trouble! Also I wondered about just cutting the spring nearly in half, but keeping a good spring in case I went home or somewhere else (aeg)

@@paulheslin4299 I have been researching further and looks like reducing the power on a gbbr replica is not an option as it is not "permanent enough". In theory you could restore it to full power very easily.

@@Tplayer97 it's the same for AEG then, especially considering how many Rif's are sold with marketing "quick change spring". I also think (not confirmed) that the gbbr rifles are physically locked to semi as well, instead of using npas, or with npas maybe.

0.5J full auto only, sounds so disappointing. I mean this is only 30 meters or something with superlight 0.2 bb, superslow flight. So it is CQB only from my point of view, does somebody really uses that in the open field, I mean not just for fun or "realism"?

Well its more than 30m but they don't fly that fast. Range can be further but it deffo gets frustrating at times. You are definitely not "scared" if a LMG opens fire on you. Outside of Germany you will! put your head further down!

yeah its horrible! What you could try is to take all your uppers and get a new lower (that has the f stamp) second hand at the Airsoft Verzeichnis!

well, If you move here you can still find a gunsmith (there are plenty online) who also will register your Airsoft Rifle and will do a single allowance "Einzelabnahme" at the German PTB.

@@tahatoygun no they are illegal without a F stamp. Only Airsoft guns under 0.5J have no F stamp. Try to use deepL as a translation software as I am for sure no legal representative and I could be wrong as well. A first thing to do might be to install a very soft spring to get the energie under 0.5j but if you have to provide proof of purchase in Germany....

If they are below 0.5 joules they are considered toys and do not have a f stamp. Also you couldn’t get them stamped 😂👌🏼

Das ist legal wenn du über 14 Jahre bist. Natürlich musst du schauen wo du die benutzt, bspw. nicht einfach im Park oder so rumballern. Am besten nur auf einem Spielfeld!
