Today I'm showing you something you've requested - welcome to German Megafortress in 1946. So I create this big and insanely powerful fort made of thousands of tons concrete. Protected by the best 3rd Reich equipment, AAs, MGs, Artillery, Infantry, and all-new E-100 series tanks. It's secure enough to host high-value targets but is it enough to stop a massive Soviet assault wave? including Guards infantry, many T-34s, IS-2/3, ISU-152 tanks. They also get support from several Katyushas.
Will this fort fall or stay impenetrable? There's only one way to find out!

wow !! Such a realistic war game. I like very much this games because allows to try tactics without not doing it in a real war operation. It also allows to avoid losses improving the strategic and tactics studies of hostile enemies statistics. Thumb up !

in real life russian tank can't penetrate maus or king tiger. But flak 88 can penetrate every russian tank. in 1945 3 jagdtiger destroyed 25 allied tank. 3 jagdtiger total 47 hit but can't penetrate armor xDD

Soviet army learned the lesson not 2 shoot this slow junk in front armour. Balaton lake showed that less then 10% shot were made in frontal projection. Also there was such a pretty thing as PTAB cassetes. No chanses for slow ones. Never. That is why all this "fortress" shit stayed in XVI century

They are pretty smart compared to other rts Ai's mainly because they work on almost every map, but if you know how to script in the GEM editor, you can make them a lot more effective.

Sadly, unlikely. The Soviets wouls have shelled the hell out of the fort first. They had supreme artillery numbers, high calliber aswell as rockets.. And with the artillery strikes damaging and destroying most lf the outside guns and cannons, then the attack would commense.

Agreed, though the Russian 203mm SPG Did little damage to buildings like the Flaktürme (Flak Towers). Even though they were purpose-built Bunker-Busters, yet the 203mm would penetrate any E100's roof any day of the week it's efficiency of penetrating reinforced concrete was very low. The Flaktürme's crew always surrendered before the tower came down (Because of the limited number of them that were built they were over 45 Meters tall and made of expensive materials). Anyway the revalancy of the superfortress to Flaktürme is that both of them would be made out of reinforced Concrete unless as the war went on Germany ran out of materials, and they switched to cheaper, easier to source materials (it is 1946 after all). Allied bombers would have reduced most of it to rubble. Yes, the Russians had bombers too. And the western Allies could have hit it with bombers. Also, yes, heavy artillery would have been employed for days on this contraption before any infantry or armor attacks. And even then the Russians would probably just put a perimeter around it and go on.

Don't go looking for sense in this video. Actually, all you would have to do is go around it. You could also deploy the age old technique of tunneling. Either digging a tunnel inside or setting off bombs below it to destroy it.

@@garypulliam3740 By the way, the flak towers are so resilient that blowing them up even from the inside is not viable due to costs. And world war 2 bombers were not exactly precise. Another thing that made bombing hard was that bunker-buster bombs were not a thing in world war 2.

The war would've gone on for another 3-4 months, unless he had about 20 interconnected with a rail system and underground facilities, in which case the would've been able to be inpenetrable, beeing able to negotiate with the allies

They would have bombed it with mortars from behind a hill until only powder remained. It would have taken about 1 month and there wouldn't have been a single casualty. This is how they dealt with "impregnable" fortresses back in the days.

@@Leicht_Sinn Sorry, but ever heard of counter barrages? Germans had excellent artillery tactics, they should know how to locate the source of a barrage. If they get the location, they proceed to bomb it with their artillery. And judging by the caliber of the artillery in that fortress compared to a mortar's, I'm pretty sure the Germans would be the ones to barrage an area first.

Arthur Kimes Yes, you have smoke grenades and smoke shells. The shells can be fired by basically any tank or artillery so you could theoretically se up like 5 howitzers and have them fire a smoke screen for you.

Oh yeah, ussr didn’t have a great enough Air Force to carry out objectives until 1945. They only had fighter aircraft like the yak and mig, they didn’t have as much bombers. They did not have great anti aircraft technology.

Очень странно... Почему они сразу не накрыли артой весь этот "форт"? Зачем было в лоб атаковать Мышей, да ещё и на Т-34-85? Они тут нафиг не нужны! Тут нужны тяжелые ИС и ИСУ, и они не должны были идти на пролом, а атаковать издалека... В идеале арту по периметру и вбиваем форт в землю

Altought entertaining, it has several mistakes that cant realy be overlooked: all explosive projectiles have the same type of effect only the power is different (this meant that katyushas could level the fortress just because they shoot so many explosive rounds). Katyusha rockets cause damage mainly with fragmentation that effects infantry and soft targets but are mostly inefective against hardened buildings. There is a part where an IS2 shoots the Maus several times (on the side btw) without effect. I mean I know Maus was very well armoured but getting hit by 5 122 aphe rounds is a bit too much.

Slow turn rate,slow acceleration Its only good for interception,once faced with a '45 fighter,it's doomed it gets outurned and outgunned It's 30mm cannons had limited ammo. Luckily the Germans didn't make it in real life but it's cool to see with your own eyes and not some fictional simulator In real life it will be difficult to penetrate the fortress without any air support

From strategic pov, this concept is interesting in old times. But now, we will be a sitting duck in that fortress. Kaliber will pound that fortress or even mother of all bomb from USA. Even if we have tens of S400, artillery showers will render our strategy obsolete. Nowadays, mobility is key.
