1:27, 1:37 the narrator in the video says "trains are perfectly punctual " - I guess at this point the video loses the last German viewers 😂

Thanks for another great video review. I agree, the video reviewed was painful. The only thing in it that stood out to me as special was the safety aspect. That's the biggest distinction I see when in Germany. Rural areas in the US are pretty safe, but the cities like Chicago and Detroit are a nightmare to get around in and you certainly don't want to wander into the wrong part of town . My wife and I feel perfectly at ease in Berlin and other German cities. Looking forward to the next review.

To be honest, I never would have thought about moving to Germany, if I hadn't fallen in love with a German. I happened to benefit from the free education and got my master's degree here. And both my husband and I have great jobs now here (and pay a lot of taxes!), and likely have better lives here now than we would have in my country (Canada). But it took several years of integration before I really started to feel comfortable here. It's really not easy to feel comfortable here unless you've got German family and there's a lot of disadvantages of living in Germany with respect to things like bureaucracy and digitalization and such. Overall the advantages outweigh the disadvantages for us, but it's for sure not what I'd call a "welcoming society" or a place where the gender pay gap is reasonable. It's definitely not for everyone and I think people have to carefully consider a move to Germany that doesn't involve an AI video!

What you mean by digitalization being a disadvantage?

the thing is what you write is true for most places, it is in general difficult to become part of another culture, each place have their own language, their own norms, tradition and most have their group of friends and family, there are a few countries where it might be easy to become friends with the locals (if you speak their language)but I have traveled a lot and I have yet to experience such a country, I have not been in neither north or south America and they tend to be known as very social countries where it's normal to speak with random people, I saw a video made by a German who had lived in Singapore, England, Austria and now lives in Sweden and when it came to friends and fitting in the story was the same in all countries, I myself live in Denmark and often hear how difficult it is to get to know the locals, and how "cold" people from the Nordic countries or Germany are, sometimes I think it's more about expetation , if people move to a very different culture lets say Thailand or Morocco people are open to the fact they will come across a completely different culture , where as they can have an idea that if they move from North America to Northern Europe they think it's "their kind of people" and get very surprised when they experience culture chocks and disappointment, and they aren't prepared that often times they will completely misunderstand the culture and see people as being rude because people are more direct, often it also have to do with not learning the language because the population are able to speak in English, but that does not mean the population want to speak English in their private life because they speak German or Danish ect, in their private lives!

@@veronicajensen7690I think what you said is especially true if you don't move to a country because you like the culture and the country so much, but of other reasons like you met someone that lives there or a job opportunity. I also think: if someone really questions moving to another country because of less digitalized public administration or 6% adjusted gender pay gap, this person should really not move, because there will be much bigger challenges and this person apparently has no really good reason to move to this country.

Hilarious review - thanks. And yes, I'll bet the vid was made by AI lol. I'm sorry to hear that you feel that the quality of life there is deteriorating - unfortunately it seems to be a trend in a lot of our countries, from Sweden to here in Australia. But I believe this can be turned around, and more quickly than one would expect. Cheers

Since Australia has stopped the boats from coming, you only have the whole woke crisis to face.- Germany has a lot more to solve and unfortunately we are not seeing the politicians understand how dire the situation is.

I took a pause when the video said "efficient postal service" - The reason? I have direct knowledge and experience in this I sell online and from all the countries I used to send to - only to Germany I used to have real problems... To Holland it took about 2-3 days, Britain the same, the US about a week, and Germany... 2-3 weeks!! In fairness, the reason is actually because of the customs (zoll), which is technically not part of the post, But you really can't attach a statement saying "efficient Postal Service" when sending to Germany is so complicated even if it's not directly the post's fault And at the end of the segment about the "efficient post service," he said "customs service is great". Like what? In Germany, I noticed something peculiar - In addition to the packages being stuck forever at the customs, people in Germany are also afraid of that government agency!!!... Never seen that in any other country and I always had problems with customers in Germany who ordered things from me, but when their packages were stuck in customs and I asked them to contact customs to release it.... They refused! I didn't understand this, but only when I started asking Germans about this they told me that Germans tend to be scared of that government agency, for some reason Also many times the zoll offices were in remote locations, so the customer had to drive pretty far to get there So I back you up here - that statement of an efficient post is definitely BS

It is scary to see these kinds of videos. I am from the Netherlands and I hope they do not make this kind of video for our country with 15 reasons to move to the Netherlands. We are over-populated already! I lived many years near the German border and have visited Germany many times. It is a beautiful country. But before you move to another country, you should consider what this means for you. There are plenty of Americans living in Germany, who can talk about personal experiences.

Tbh, most of the points he made, are actually better in other states of Europe. The food quality is way better in Spain. Even if you buy the same thing in Spain and in Germany there is a high chance that the one from Spain is better. Public transportation is also better in other countries. Internet is better in other countries. Sure, Germany is relatively safe, but again, that is also true for other countries in Europe. the same with gender equality. And the rest is just not true. Germany has relatively high taxes, but this comes with benefits. You have to see this in connection to other things like health insurance or education system. It makes no sense to contemplate this isolated. Then you'll get the wrong impression.

You list very subjective things here. I am German who lives in Italy, and has lived in Denmark, Croatia and France as well for many years. I think you'll have a quite nice life in Germany, or why do you think it is one of the most favored migration destinations. It just has a very high overall standard of living there.
