German shepherd Giving birth to 9 puppies - (First Litter) 

I remember a friend of mine called me in the middle of the night. Her small dog was in labor. They are just across the street. I rushed over and my friend was freaking out. She didn’t know what to do. I told her let nature take its course. I stayed up all night and we watched as she delivered 5 beautiful puppies. She had a struggle with the third one. I assisted but it’s all up to the mom. She was great. After all was done we gave her water and food. She cleaned and watched over her young pups. I went over everyday after work for two weeks just to check in. Mother and pups were doing great. The best part was when they were a little older I got to lay down on the floor and just be mailed by this adorable bundles of joy. Best feeling.

This nearly made me cry how the mother greets the babies such a good mother

On July 04, 2022 my dear and beloved dog died.. he was only 45 days old when I brought him home.. but 10 years later, he turned into an angel and I still cry for his departure.. 😭

Mother is such a precious gift of God and we should thanks to God for this beautiful Gift...😘

This is one of those videos you watch from start to finish with a huge smile on your face. However, you don’t realize you’ve been smiling the whole time till the video ends and your face feels stiff and is cramping up. At that point you frantically look around to see if anyone’s been watching you the whole time! Been there, done that, congrats to the doggy parents!

Always loved that puppy breath! A 50 yr old man but in the presence of even just one pup, I become a little boy all over again.

Amazing to see that she watches the people help clean the puppies but yet had a watchful. It's amazing how mother nature kicks in and she instinctively knows what to do. They look gorgeous at 20 days Thanks for sharing.

Every time I see a creature give birth my eyes began filling with tears to see the agony and suffering all mothers go through for us. I am so glad that was someone there giving a hand to the courageous mother delivering 9 adorable babies into the world. Thank heaven the 2 little weak ones were able to pull through... making the mother proud. All the puppies look so healthy and lovely.

Now if only humans cared as much for their babies as this beautiful mother does. Life would improve greatly.

I experienced the joy of being there with my German Sheppard, Sheba, I was the only one she would let help her. It took 14 hours. The best single moment of my life. This video brought back so many wonderful memories. Thank you so much for this.

This reminds me of my German Shepherd. My dog was 4 when she had her 1st litter way back in 2009. She was impregnated by my American Akita. She had 13 beautiful big pups, 11 males & 1 female ( which i kept ) one male was stillborn. She was in labour for around 15 -16 hours the poor thing, she was absolutely exhausted but she was a great mother to all them pups ( ; We had to put her to sleep last year at a good old age of 14 due to cancer. I still miss her. Her name was Lucky. Her daughter is 12 years old now, She's slowing down a bit now but she's still here ( ; I just adore German Shepherds ( ; They're just so Damn Loyal & Loveable. For me they're the best breed of dog out there. Your pups are absolutely adorable.

The Miracle Of Birth! She was a very attentive Mother and did a fantastic job with her deliveries! Soon the day will come when she can be proud of her babies growing up to be as beautiful and well behaved as her!

I've been blessed at 58 to have had 3 Incredible GSD's 2 Female and 1 Male. We did breed 1 for a Service Dog Organization. You really did a great job, especially with the 3 smaller weak ones. Pretty much they would not have survived had you not stepped in. We let mom be Mom and it was an amazing 14 hour miracle to watch. * beautiful puppies all but 1 went to families to train at 3 months and our male stayed with us. I'd never do it again and I'm totally Shelter focused. We miss our GSD's I don't think I could go through the heartache of losing one again. Amazing how a German so becomes more than a pet but a real family member. It's a gut punch when you lose them. I hope all your GSD's are well and have a wonderful purpose filled life ahead.

I have lived through this amazing moment, my female had 2 litters and now is possibly pregnant with her final one and it is just amazing to see the puppies being born and growing up

Eva is truly a lovely and precious dog and an excellent mother. Thank you for supplying her with a clean and comfortable environment to birth nine puppies. Thank you for being such a loving and responsible owner. Just a few words of advice: it’s important for the mother to go through the process of birthing and cleaning the puppies with the least amount of interference from human beings. She did not appear to be in any dangers nor the puppies, so pulling some of the puppies out of her was probably not necessary. Only in a crisis does a human being need to step in to do that. Also, very important to let the mother lick the baby clean and eat the placenta. There were times where you did not allow Eva to do this on her own. Millions and millions of animals overtime have successfully delivered their babies with no one to help them. It was good for you to feed the two weaker pups from a bottle. congratulations to Eva and her newborns and to you! Nine puppies is large, especially for a first litter. I hope that you give some serious thought to having Eva fixed. There are so many puppies/dogs and kittens/cats that need a good home. So many sad stories of these precious fur babies in shelters where they will end up getting euthanized, because they will not be adopted. People who own dogs and cats and continue to allow them to get impregnated, instead of doing the responsible thing by getting them fixed, ends up causing overpopulation and improper care to unwanted animals. i’m sure you will continue to take good care of Eva. I don’t mean to sound rude, but I do hope her Birthing puppy days are over. I’m sure you feel thrilled to have Eva and the nine puppies.

She is going to become a really good mama. Am proud that all babies are now safe ❤️

Its crazy how in just 20 days they develope so much!

Here is a great tip from me to anyone thinking of breeding .... when the baby puppies are born and you have a puppy box when your female goes outside to take care of her business she will very anxiously want to go back to her puppies to nurse them. Be extremely very careful digilent watchful that the female mother does not jump over the box in her excitement to continue feeding her puppies. Because what may happen and has happened to me is in her leeping over the box she may land on one of the puppies and break a bone like their shoulder leg whatever. Grab your female mother by the collar and guide her back to the box to ensure she does not leap and land on her puppies this is a very common horrible accident that occurs. Just saying if this offends some people so be it but if it saves a puppy then it was well worth it because it has happened to me and it was not pleasant it was horrifying the puppy lived but broke its shoulder. .

Nothing more loving than the shepherd breed. So trust worthy. They instinctively know to strive for excellence. But dont be fooled...do not get one unless you have educated yourself on german shepherds. They are complex animals.

I'll never forget my beloved Gracy birthing bordeaux puppies, They were so hungry. Then slipping into bated breath only interrupted with a small mistep; snuffing out the high tails of the curve. I sold a few then gave away 4 , looking back she was the best dog I have ever had.

Many years ago, my son and I watched our dog give birth to 8 puppies. As we watched them being born, we saw that a couple were not doing well. We call the vet and was told we may have to "sling" the ones having trouble breathing. When we asked what is "slinging"? The vet said to hold the puppy by the back with it's head away from us and whip the puppy down to get the fluid out of it's throat. It worked and we saved 2 puppies that way. All puppies went on to live happy life's. My son and I still talk about how we saved those puppies.😍
