Love that park, so nice that the Lucy Bench is there ❤ The views, dunes, cacti, sky and trees are always beautiful, but the tender spring green leaves against the sand, white bark, and dramatic sky is not to be missed. Looks like a great day! 🤗🐶💚🐦💚
Hi Dennis and Küllike! Thanks you for another trip to Douglas Park. I always enjoy seeing the wide open vistas and serenity of that area. This was the first of your hiking videos that I have watched so far. It is lovely. Really get a sense of how peaceful it is. The paths look well maintained and easy on the feet. It looks nice and warm, and a great day to hike. Did a lot of the trees not bloom and are late blooming trees? Could you see bears before they could try and come at you? You never stop missing the dogs after they have passed on. Thanks for sharing.
What a wonderful hike. Does Kassie ever become overly protective if she encounters a stranger? Your walks seem effortless. I have two male German Shepherds and my boys are a bit different when they encounter other dogs or strangers. Kassie seems so relaxed. Love your channel by the way.
Sometimes Kassie reacts differently to people and other dogs. Usually just a lot of checking out the other dog but if it gets too close to either of us, then she gets protective and then a scuffle can start. She is fairly friendly with people unless they give off a bad vibe. It is a totally different story if someone approaches our picnic site. She protects it like a gold mine. I'm sure you know all about the protection these dogs provide.
