I've had my german Shepherd for 4 months (she was a kind of rescue dog). I have never had a dog before, I really am struggling with her walking to heel, I have the time and am doing the training 1-2 times per day for 20 mins, then 40 mins play. My concern is her jumping up when she see's people - mostly at home. I know she is excited, its not aggressive. certain family members are driving me crazy saying how badly behaved she is. She is still a puppy! Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Grab a treat, hold with thumb and index finger, then hold it just above their head and say sit…..

I’m getting my very first German Shepard. He’s 11,weeks old and I wanted to train him to be my service dog. I have many health issues. How hard is it going to be to train him?

I have a 6 month old GSD and he got his good citizenship certificate but the trainer we were using stopped training. I haven’t been able to find another trainer to help me and now my pup won’t let people he doesn’t know (especially men) come near me. How do I teach him that everything is ok and to not bark at everyone?

Learning his name is #1. After that teach him to look at you, from there everything becomes easy because of how intelligent they are. From those two, i reccomend sit, lay down, stay, and heel.
