Lol I guess some people think dogs licking is kissing. Dogs gain all their information from smell and taste, what you've been doing, what you ate for lunch, etc. Probably just tasting what the cat has been eating.....
Wow! I’m really surprised at the amount of trust and patience the momma cat has for the puppy. Those little meows before flipping over for him were adorable, and she even let the puppy groom him! ❤

@@josephinetracy1485 I doubt they kept the dogs with the kittens any longer. It's also good for the dog to learn who they are and to be careful with them since it's just a puppy. The cat seems to have a lot of trust in it's owner to allow this. Of course the mother is concerned she is very cautious..
@@josephinetracy1485 if momma cat had been upset, she would've been whipping her tail back & forth, & hissing & slapping at the pup, she warned him once, when he did a little too much licking, and he appropriately backed off...if she'd been upset, the interaction wouldn't have have lasted nearly that long

She hissed and threatened a pap because he was washing her head hard. She dissuaded him from being rough so he wouldn't do it with her kittens She knows he's just a baby too and needs to be taught, so she is teaching him. She'll do the same with her as they grow.

What’s so beautiful about this is that mom cat seems to know she has nothing to worry about with the puppy and is relaxed. The pup and momma cat and her kids are so adorable. One big happy family. Seeing this has made my night complete.

This is the most chill mother cat I have ever seen in my entire life. Having supervised both cats and dogs giving birth before and having other animals, I was fully expecting her to attack this pup when he got too close to her babies, considering these kittens look like newborns, I am surprised how willing she is to allow this pup so near her and the babies. Clearly she trusts him. Other than the one swipe, she was totally relaxed with him.
@@wojtek5596 That's what I was expecting her to do. I have had kittens and the Moms are EXTREMELY protective and will not tolerate anyone near their babies.
The bond between the Momma cat and the puppy is exceptional, given the furious life-sacrificing extent she would go to if she believed for one moment her kittens were threatened.
@@OutsideTheRopes I'd guess she's the puppy's foster mum the fact she's so calm and relaxed throughout the interaction is amazing, the way the puppy seeks out affection from mama cat and doesn't focus on the kittens shows her thought was love for mama hence why mama cat was relaxed her foster baby was focused on her
He's so clumsy but gentle. I loved the snoot boop and kiss to the mama cat. He promises to be careful. He also seems amazed that those little cat babies are even smaller than him.
The trust and patience that cat is showing is remarkable!!! In my experience a lot of animal moms (cats and dogs) are quite protective of their babies and don't let anyone near them besides their trusted human (if even that), so it's absolutely beautiful to see the cat letting her puppy friend give her kisses and say hello to the kittens ❤️
He's a big baby with clumsy paws, but he means no harm, the kisses show that, and the fact she didn't get upset & go into insane mama mode says she's a gentle lady herself. She knows he's a baby too. 🥰. They will be BFF's.

This so adorable she knows the puppy won’t hurt her or her kittens he’s just so inquisitive but she trusts him you can clearly see that, he’s so affectionate towards her and her babies so heartwarming to watch ❤️

Well yes her instinct is to protect her babies but she is really relaxed which is amazing in itself cats can be highly aggressive if they feel threatened.
I love how the GSD pupper keeps licking the cat, because she's a familiar face and a friend, but doesn't try the same with kitties, because he doesn't know how they or their mom will react to it. So intelligent and caring

My adopted male pitbull mix is almost 9 years old and I still call him "pupper" ~ I can see my Jasper behave the same way as this pup did. We just lost our beloved 13 month old female kitty CeCe the other day. Jasper is heartbroken & missing CeCe, as are my husband and I. It's clear that the Mum cat already feels quite safe with Chase. She relaxes and rolls onto her back a little which showed a huge sense of trust. It looks like he wants to make sure she's OK and her congratulate her on her babies
I know she is comfortable with the puppy and feels safe having her kittens and guard down around it,but felines of different species like big cats(lions,tigers,jaguars,etc..) will also go on their backs as a defensive position ready to use all four of their claws to tear apart the threat in question.
It took so much from this puppy not to start playing with the kittens. It's clear she wanted to, but I love how she was able to control herself. Even when she's just a little puppy.

Right, you can tell if a person is good by the way their animals behave. If they are all really sweet and loving then the human parents are probably really good people.
We have a ten year old gsd and this was him exactly when he was a pup. Sooooo curious and so sweet. The most gentle lad. 😍 makes me tear up to remember when he was this little.
You can tell by the paws on this little guy that he is going to be a big boy! I love German shepherd’s, he reminds me of my Loki boy when he was little 😢 now he’s a huge monster but still a puppy at heart. ❤

Don't have any pets (up until recently, my building wasn't allowed pets... now I've moved, pets are allowed, but will probably still take a while before I can afford to look after one). Did grow up with my family, always having two dogs and a cat. So I am used to pets. My favourite animals are bees - of course, you can't keep them as pets (not good for them), so you just have to plant flowers and see them enjoy the flowers. But since I now have a share in a garden, I can do that. Will be sorta-kinda like having pets. :) When me and my partner do get a proper pet, I'm guessing it will be a cat or a dog. Seems like the obvious and sensible pair of options.
The trust! The relaxation! The licks! I wasn’t even watching the kittens, I was watching momma cat the whole time - her bond with the big bumbling puppy around her babies is so cute!
It’s cute… but I wouldn’t trust that dog unsupervised, those licks are a bit close to bites at the end (as noted by the cat), and it’s a clumsy dog with big heavy paws.
@@njones420 of course not unsupervised. He’s still a puppy and while he may never do anything to hurt the kittens on purpose, he can very easily get overexcited and forget to be gentle.
She wasn't taking her eyes from the puppy for a second till she saw her human friends are there. .. She knew that her human friends won't let her kitten to be hurt .. & she knows she & her kittens are all safe as long as her human buddies are around her.
That is honestly one of the most adorable pupper-kitty interaction I have EVER seen! Pupper is perfect, and MomCat is the MOST patient, chill, laid-back Mama EVER! LOLOL...
That pup has just met about the most dangerous thing ever - a mother with youngsters who rely on her protection. Clearly the people in this household create a true sense of safety for the pets, a proper home. Fantastic.
I wonder if Mama Kitteh considers the puppy a baby (okay, a large and goofy baby) and deserving of her protection? But in a few weeks that pup will be either a great baby-sitter or the ringleader in a tornado of mischief.

@@krisaaron5771, well mama cat probably sees the German Shepherd as a crazy kid brother, so he gets to be the cool uncle to the kittens. Hence, he’ll be the ringleader of a tornado of mischief. That’s the job of a kid brother- to help his big sister’s kids get away with mischief lol
This puppy and mother kitty are of same family as Bailey the golden retriever. Cat and puppy know each other well. Ive enjoyed watching all their videos for some time.😊
So so beautiful, I love how the puppy came in and was in total play mode then saw the kittens and quickly got really gentle and cautious. Mama kitty is very patient and trusting and the newborns are angels, this is what heaven must look like
It's definitely what my heaven looks like. That mama kitty is a sweetheart and so is the puppy. Those little babies are going to grow up totally loving and affectionate.
You could see the puppy assessing that they weren't quite ready for octopus wrestling, for now at least. It should be on the kittens to do list soon enough.

Yeap ! When I saw little German Shepherd JESSIE trying to nibble DORA's nose, I found that scary and awful, because Mom Cat was giving some milk to her little children and she could'nt make any movement ... but making : "Meaow !"....... Poor Dora ! When will her owners understand that she still needs to be quiet and to rest without being disturbed by all those huge monsters-dogs, like Bailey & Rocky, or these two little girls, Mia & Jessie ? Dora's kids are so tiny......
Actually, he's kind of clumsy - despite his best intentions. He's just a puppy, and he's still learning how to control his own body while also being excited.

My best friend in the whole world will not get a pet he's visible oh I love the animals dogs cats guinea pigs fish they all interact so well I grew up with German Shepherds my parents got olders so did I I don't know how to act my age I've never been this old but they got cat because I could do the litter box and I'll have to walk it isn't that a beautiful dog you know they have Post Office stamps that are all different kinds of service animals they're dogs well happy Mother's Day to everybody dog smells God backwards and Mom spells wow upside down

It's amazing how much animals understand and insight they have. For those that see animals as "dumb," they understand about the fragility of life much more than humans and behave accordingly. I brought 3 one-month old kittens into my home that their mama cat left in my yard. I had no place to put them, so I placed them in my bedroom where my older male cat practically lives, as he seldom leaves to roam the rest of the house. At first, I was concerned about his reaction and kept a close eye on him. In no time I saw that he had adopted them as their "momma," and licked/cleaned them continuously. It's as though he understood that these were young kittens unable to care for themselves and had no one else but him. It's been one whole month and they are fully bonded with each other. He lets them bite and climb all over him. It's amazing. How many human men would be so quick to adopt another man's children and look after them as his own??
Adoption is only valid in a place where there is a high degree of trust. In all other cases, you're essentially just a rube. There's a reason most animals in nature and most men aren't interested in adoption. You'd have to be an idiot to adopt a child today, frankly.
I would say that if this weren't "modern era" with such streamlined communication and social programs, there isn't a father in the world that could walk past an orphaned child without at least considering taking them in. Truly, entertainment and centralization have made us less socially conscious.
This is how you raise a large dog to be gentle! 👍You make sure you know the dog well enough to know how it behaves when introduced to new animals, and then you make sure they don't inadvertently harm the other animal. Exposure training is important!
he has good instincts to be polite, when the cat feels threatened, she will explode in his face 😁 puppy seems well aware of this and approaches verrry carefully...cute
