I miss my K-9 partner and Co-father to three hoomans. He was a Longhair GSD and in his lifetime he was an excellent partner to me and a fantastic sibling to my children. In 10 years he never once showed anything besides love and patience with his family hoomans.

We had 2 German, shepherds, I miss our older one she was so sweet and loving. The one we have left she a pill. She will steal things from the kitchen counter. She has a very stubborn personality.

Just LOOK at that dawg at the 3:11 mark. Such a confident and sweet PERSONALITY. My mom has always LOVED German shepherd dogs. Back when I was a kid, we had a German Shepherd dog that had been A mIXED BREED DOG/PUPPY. HIS NAME WAS "REBEL". HE Was a German shepheard /wolf hybrid. My mom had adopted him from a shelter up in the mountains near us. She HAD ADOPTED HIM FROM THERE AND SHE HAD ALSO TAKEN AN OWL THERE AFTER SEEING THAT POOR OWL STUCK IN SOME GUYS TRUCK GRILL. I Was a kid back then, i recall that he had a big Chevy Truck. And that owl was stuck in his trucks front grill. My mom made sure to try to get the owl help. At the time,. we had our wolf/ german shepherd hybrid for a good while. And,. THAT pooch was so sweet. We had him for a long time. He had eventually died. I am not sure what killed him. He was put on heart meds. Digitalis. Maybe he would have lived longer without the heart meds? I kinda think that he, should have NOT been put on heart meds. But, it is all hard to tell what meds will help or HURT.

Ginger, make no mistake about it, we dog owners as their humans are totally at their command. That's part of the joy of owning a furry friend is to take care of them and give back some of that unconditional love they show us day after day and year after year. All 13 or 14 of our digs that we've had are family from day one. Our job is to provide them with a great life and to watch over them as they do us.
