German U - boat harbor explore. There are still traces of the German U-boat crews activity here and Fifish V-Evo will prove that. Hitlers Wolfpack were once here..

When you pealed that paint back and I saw the markings, I gasped with you there buddy. That was absolutely exciting even to watch and I had goosebumps. Thank you again for all of this. For those of us that don't get afforded the opportunity to travel, your videos are both vital and amazing. Giving us an insight to history that we might not have otherwise been able to see.

I would donate that plate to a naval museum. The preservation of its sonar/ASDIC-proof coating makes it an interesting artefact and I doubt if there are many, if any, similar exhibits on public display in Europe. Great find, HH!

The plate reveal was a real WOWWWW moment! The person that sneaked up so quietly was probably the original owner of the plate, that's why you didn't hear him arrive, he probably melted back into 1944 when you weren't looking! Another classic! Thanks HH! Why they wanted a stealth plate with the special coating is a bit of a mystery

The Gentleman was curious as to what you found. He knew that you were an expert in finding WW2 artifacts. It was most likely the paint they used for the subs and it would have helped to preserve the integrity of the Kriegsmarine plate. What a beauty! You are in such demand EE that your phone is constantly ringing. Thank you William for designing those grippers for the Ffish-V. You are indeed a genius. So many treasures down there to be discovered. That place would definitely bring back memories of your days as a Sub sonar operator. I bet you have so many tales to tell HH. Thank you so much for taking us there. Have to say though, missed your little helper EE. ♥

These underwater adventures never fail to be fascinating. Every time you dive here you find something interesting and exciting. I agree with you that the plate should be left in this condition as the paint is part of its history. Fantastic find that was. You have to be correct with the large ships stirring up the bottom to expose more items as every time you come here you find shells and cartridges. Makes me wonder if anything is near the shore line. I am truly amazed at how much better the camera is on the new FiFish. The image is so much clearer than what we have seen before. As I’ve said before, I really enjoy these underwater adventures.

Now that plate is definitely a one of a kind find, and well worth preserving "as is". Finding those live rounds and the 20mm case, amongst all that junk was a great feat in itself, but finding that plate! To think it had lain there for all this time, waiting for you, our amazing History Hunter, to retrieve it, and bring it back into the light of day. What a fantastic find! And it's another one of those, Who, What, Why, mysteries that will probably never be solved. It looks too shallow to hold paint, but perhaps they used it to demonstrate to the maintenance crew, how to apply the paint, and how well it stuck to any surface. I guess we will never know. Thank you so much for sharing this incredibly rare find with us. Cheers to you all! Stay well!

This was a very interesting explore. Amazing that you thought that plate was plastic. Lol. I, too, was pleasently surprised that it was a Kriegsmarine plate. Its strange that it was painted with the sound deadening paint. But who knows the purpose of that. The little underwater ROV is an awesome tool. You could never had a chance to retrieve such items as the plate and ammunition rounds in surprisingly good condition after all these years. Just think that plate was there waiting for you to find it. A very nice relic from the past. Take care and stay safe. 💖💯

The plate is a very nice find! I read somewhere that the Germans coated some of the U-boats with a rubberized paint material to help make it difficult to detect them with sonar. If you want to retrieve bigger objects couldn't you put a grappling hook or some kind of hook with a rope attached in the gripper of the rov and then when you find something that you can hook on to just drop the hook onto what you want to hook and then pull the rope up and pull up the hook. Just s thought to get bigger things to the surface.

That would be a great place to dive. Sailors use whatever... you were a submariner... you can relate 😉

@WW2HistoryHunter Been retired for only a few years but I'm sure Sailors being Sailors lol. Would be worthwhile for you to get a Dive-all-day and learn how to do shallow dives. Nine meters is the safe without limits that I remember. You would still definitely need a buddy. But what you can find without the tethered vehicle 🤔

@WW2HistoryHunter So you probably have heard of the air compressor on a float with regulators. Many things to find around old piers. 😉 PROST KOMMANDER 🍻

Love your content, I have a question I can't seem to figure out. Since you own both the evo and the v6, i think. If a Guy was only going to use it for hull inspections on a boat and occasional small salvage retriever (keys, phones). Would the evo be enough, the price jump to the v6 is daughting. Thanks
@WW2HistoryHunter
@WW2HistoryHunter 2 месяца назад
Totally yes , the EVO could do all of that with ease. We have used the EVO for tons of projects and it works very well. Thanks.

Have you 'fished' the area with a very strong magnet?
@WW2HistoryHunter
@WW2HistoryHunter 6 месяцев назад
There are so many items down there that is just junk so do not want to waste a ton of time doing that. Rather sweep down with the rov and see what is there. Thanks.

@WW2HistoryHunter
