FGS Oldenburg, a Braunschweig-class corvette, arrives into Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth after a day of training in the English Channel.
The FGS Oldenburg, one of 10 ships of the German Navy's new K130 Braunschweig class, has been operating out of His Majesty's Naval Base for Fleet Operational Sea Training (FOST) provided by the Royal Navy. 6 of the class have been built, with 4 more still to go.

It's a she. Bismarck was a one-off and an informal one at that since the crew just used Bismarck's old nickname ("der Alte" or "the old man" to refer to the ship).

In reality this warship class has been a problem and organisational disaster . It is a failure from start to finish. Not fit for a peer adversary .

They are built for shallow coastal waters and don't have an awful lot of range. Not sure if they would fit Australia's needs.

But armament of 7000+ tons German F-125 is almost the same as this corvette 😂

The F-125 class was deliberately developed to serve for very long period in low-intensity theatres like the Mediterranean Sea. I is supposed to continually stay in theatre for two years, as any return to Wilhelmshaven costs two weeks (single distance). So, instead of the ships, the crews are exchanged every four months.

@@scottwhiting1871 well, the River class is a patrol ship right? I guess it has better range and endurance. Different uits have different purposes. But i gotta say that i am a fan of the K130, it's a really good ship, that's why we are getting 5 more.

No, a lot of german navy-ships had visited british mil/civ harbours. So a german private passed the Tower-Bridge for reaching the destination-wharf!

Is that my lift to Russia so I can join the fight against The EU which was purely designed to have me and my family off. Its what my older brother wants! Only The Tories would allow foreign warships to do what they want in British Waters!
