I'm full blood native american both my families are in history for fighting against General Custer and were warriors who never retreated in battle, the US army has them recorded as Suicide Soldiers because they stayed in battle never retreating. I love and admire many aspects of German culture and the different tribes of that area of Europe.
L G you are descended from a truly great people, perhaps the last to enjoy true freedom in this World. Now, we are all living through a Soulless Modernity, where the worship of money matters above all else in life. The most important thing is to keep Culture alive, never forget who we are, to also see beauty in the Ancient Cultures from around the World, to see similarities, and share the Wisdom of the Elders. Have a great week, greetings from Ireland. :)
@@KeithOSullivanmusic I think all tribal people should celebrate each others cultures with respect no matter what has happened in history because we as the new generations of those people do have a good age to live in...there are always dangers of all ages however I think we all as mankind strive ultimately to understand one another even the ones who dont want to, it's still happening. Thank you for the reply may your people be blessed with good health and long lives.
@@LG-xs7ud Thank you very much. I feel at times as though the World is about to descend into a New Dark Age, albeit a technological one. Where the lessons of the past will be forgotten, guaranteeing that History will once again repeat, and madness will reign once again. The only barrier to that happening is people remembering who and what they are, to be Human. Have a great week L G, Blessings upon you and your family. Greetings from Ireland. :)
Much Respect to you and your family. I'am very sorry for the native Americans. Your people have such a big history and great culture. What the white man has do to YOUR country is so fucked up and my heart is bleeding when i think of your ancestors and your culture. Stay Strong - greetings from Germany.
As brave and strong as the romans were they were scarred by the forest from the beginning, imagine how supernatural it would feel to stand at the farthest reaches of the empire and be confronted by a endless wall of dark mystical forests that seemed to speak with ghostly sounds and know that there are blood thirsty "barbarians" waiting in the shadows to kill or worse yet capture you and sacrifice you to their strange gods in violent rituals..also I'd like to clarify I am not saying Roman's were weak and fearful people and bad warriors so please dont get all twisted up on me 😅
@@internetrambo4928 as a german I think its kinda cringy to say "my ancestors" and native americans still have a deep connection with their native culture.
@@mintstudent9442 But why only for Germans? And why only germans like you got alot critism for themself and the own Culture but others can do the same and its ok? Many Germans are so brainwashed. Hate yourself but love all others. Wierd. And no, they live like all others..its 2023. You think they still run around like 1700 and hunt Buffalos ?
I can't even describe how deeply this resonates with me. Blood memory doesn't lie no matter how hard some are trying to destroy us, our culture, and our history. Blood always remembers.
Proud to be related to herman the German i live with his strength to keep on living this earth needs are help right now more then ever before. Stay strong and ich vvil bluet.
@@KeithOSullivanmusic Odin guides me, Thor is my strength, Freya brings what i need, and the Raven and Crow fly high to warn me of danger as the Valkyries fly over my enemies waiting for the kill. You stay strong, wise and remember you have ancient blood line also, i see it.
I'm living here at the Rhine, remnants of the roman Limes rest in the ground just a few hundred metres away... here is where encounters like the one in the video took place. Incredible how much a place and in the people in it change throughout the history!!! Back in those days, romans and germans fought each other fiercely... today the germans happily go to the italian ice-cream parlor to have a good time. :P -> on the very same spot! Strange world.
If I ever make it back to Germany I'd love to visit the Teutoburg Forest. Arminius was always one of my Heroes since childhood. His deeds will live on forever. As a Celt I admire what the Germanic Tribes achieved, what the Celts did not manage to do, to defeat the Roman Empire. I love Italy and it's people, we are all Europeans, and we share the same destiny now. Nice talking to you. Greetings to you from Ireland. :)
That's because the Romans did to the Germans as the Americans did to the Natives. Genocide and destruction of culture. Your inkling of Germanic culture is when dripped through the Roman blender.
Sie müssen mir also nichts erzählen.
@@alfaholic3 both are germanic theb sweden means land of woden or odin like wednesday is the day of wodan which is wotan in german. I am an Albanian from Dardania but I speak German and swedish and other germanic languages.
The namn Sweden means ”Land of the Swedes”, and the Swedes were one of the Germanic tribes that inhabited modern day Sweden. And the word “Swede” probably derives from the meaning “One’s own (tribesmen)”, so the name of Sweden is not really connected to Odin. However the Geats that were the other Germanic tribe that inhabited modern day Sweden are said to be descended from “Göte”, which is said to be one of Odin’s sons. And another name for Odin is actually Göte in some sources.

Really cool! I recently moved from the East of Northrhein Westfalia to Hildesheim in Lower Saxony (“hildi“ being an old word meaning “battle“, so that's neat). Somewhere in that area is where the Cheruscan people used to live (even my neighboring street is called “Cheruskerstraße“), Arminius was a Cheruscan so I immediately liked this place. I'd love to visit the Teutoburger Wald one day when I have the time.
I actually live near the Teutoburg Forest and iI can say from experience that it mustve been a pain in the ass to march through it. Its basically a mountaon range with trees on it
This video should make you proud, not of your German roots, but of something bigger than that. This video should make you proud of your Germanic roots. Germans are just a small part of this great civilisation. The Dutch, Flemish, English, Danish, etc are also Germanic. We're all brothers.
Hopefully I'll be putting another one up soon, part 2 to this one, if the RU-vid Algorithm Gods will allow it. Glad you like it, talk to you soon, have a great day. :)
Thanks, I actually got the video up this morning. I stayed up all night after finishing the music editing the video. I said, while I can, I may as well try and get a few tracks up with video while it's still possible, before the purge that will be Article 13. Talk to you later my friend. :)
Check out barbarians rising, 4 part series but covers a good majority of the major players in romes downfall, really good show, gotta buy it on Amazon video tho
Gergely K. Most pagans were forced into converting. They were tortured, beheaded, unless they converted and had their sacred sites (Donars oak) destroyed. Which then had churches built on top. Christianity was the equivalent of ISIS to the native Europeans culture and religion. They came in and destroyed the native culture and replaced it with a desert one. They did this everywhere they went. Christians want one people and one culture. “No jew nor gentile....all one in Christ” Galatians 3:28
Long live all our ancestors, may they rest in peace and be able to enter paradise. We must reconquer our earth before the final great battle of this war called existence in this God's creation.
@ Mandi Biedermann If a war should erupt one day, I must remember that if I die in the heat of the battle, I will either enter Odin’/Wodan’s great hall (Valhalla) or enter the one of Freya (Folkvangr).

Hm, I wonder is my ancestors sung things similar to this. I'm mostly German 😂. Family stories say it's why I have my green eyes, the Egner family bloodline. Point of the sword is what it mean I believe? There is a rumor in my family that was told by my great grandpa who came from Germany that our family may have helped sack rome once as our family came from a long of mercenaries. Probably explains the odd family name and the bad short temper.....
Hello, really nice video and nice music! Your channel is amazing! This is really music that germanic tribes created in the past? I mean originally? Or it's a mixture?
Thanks Thorben. No, this music would just be my interpretation to the imagery in the video. Many of the instruments used would date to that time period, horns, frame drums, etc... I'd imagine the closest to what the Ancient Germanic Tribes sounded like would be a Danish Band Heilung, they sing in Proto-Germanic language, use ancient instruments.
@@KeithOSullivanmusictoday i have created a website called www.native-europeans.com where I took a Link to this video. Maybe the website is Interested for others too :)

Funny Thing to Note. Allthough Caesar called the germanics they them self called them self diotisc(Deutsch/Dutch) and even normal Roman people called the teodisca/tedesco. The Therm germanic and Germania was only used by politicians and historians while actually everyone called them how they called them self. Even the norse called their Continental Brothers thysk.

...what would that massacre have been like...that the Romans NEVER replaced the legions XVII, XVIII and XIX...for the imperialists beyond the Rhine it was hell made reality ...
Arminius / Herman taught the Romans a lesson that their Empire never fully recovered from. When people unite in the cause of Freedom there is nothing more powerful in this World. It is as relevant in today's World as it was back then. The tyrants of today meet in board rooms, they wear suits instead of armour, and their aim remains the same, to subjugate the masses.
@@WolfenSköllMountains I think when you take a critical look at History the masses have always been asleep. The American Revolution was fought by a very small percentage of Colonists, and they were opposed by the masses, the same for Ireland. The Irish Revolutionaries were spat at by their fellow Irish men and women as they were led away by the British Forces in 1916 after their failed uprising. The same people who spat at them hailed them as heroes years later when the tide turned in their favour. I guess the masses are sheep like in their nature, always looking for some one to lead them, tell them what to think. I guess that is why they love TV and Derelict Celebrities so much. Being an independent thinker is a pain they do not want to experience. The real role models are there in our collective History, people who would die for their people, and who truly sought out Justice. As you say Boudica and Arminius / Herman are perfect examples of that. Have a great week man. :)
I want a NOT-HOLLYWOOD movie of this. Highly preferable with people's money collect with no gay/black/feminist/communist bullshit. Just the closest to reality of those times. I want to see MEN BEING REAL WILD MALES. Without the malice intent of showing pagans as "just mad and evil".
