If in the east of Europe, the Indo-Europeans, Slavs and Balts, were moderately aggressive peoples who preferred a peaceful life and solitude, then in the west everything was different.
The militant Celts conquered half of Western Europe and destroyed the local population. The Germans who followed them also acted with the natives of Scandinavia and Central Europe.
In their world, the fittest survived, and those whom the Romans met were the result of the most severe selection.
Tacitus writes that the Germans consider farming to be cowardice and laziness. After all, waiting for the harvest is long and unreliable, and war and robbery give results immediately! A man is only a warrior and no one else.
