Steve Clarke needs to come under serious scrutiny for last night. Germany are miles ahead of us but that’s never stopped us from competing with them in the past. The last 12 months have been shambolic

What's this obsession the guy in glasses has for wanting to replace Porteous with Hanley, who was once again poor when he came on as a substitute but McKenna, who came on earlier, actually made us look a bit more solid in defence and it was his knock down that led to our goal. He definitely should start in place of Porteous.

McKenna is a better player than Hanley or Porteous! Gilmour should have started, he’s the best player in the squad for taking and keeping the ball!The whole team was really poor

Reality check is Scotland players are high payed professionals (allegedly) and played like amateurs. Manager has been sleeping on the job and should be sacked for letting performances slip to that level.

Worrying thing for me is that this system worked good with Hickey or Patterson, but Ralston just is not good enough for that. Should we think about going 4-5-1 and putt Tierney at RB and Robertson at LB?

Should have done that as soon as Hickey was injured, as Patterson isnt good enough either at this level.

@@jackjones1249 yeah that’s probably fair enough.. it was a great system but it all falls apart when you put Ralston in it. Teams will just attack a lot down that side - we need more balance.

@@AndyCraigOfficial Tbf We were just as bad down the left side as well. Roberston was giving the Germany wide player all the time in the world as was all the scotland players. Will be surprised if Clarke changes the system at this stage.

@@jackjones1249 Yeah maybe it was just a case of the pressure and the occasion getting to them. They are young guys and maybe it was just all too much for them. Brazil collapsed in a similar way in 2014. The system has worked for us, so maybe we just need to keep the faith and give it another go on Wednesday.

We have no pace in the team at all, what chance do we actually have against anyone? No creativity, john mcginn spent the first 20 mins jockying people watching the game pass him by didn't know wether to stay or go, full midfield were nowhere near the game. Billy Gilmour should have started 100%

Not sure what was to be gained by having another dark blue dwarf running around aimlessly after 6 foot Snow Whites (Sleepy, Bashful and Dopey were all replaced with no discernible difference to our abject performance)

Gilmour came on second half and never touched the ball. Would have made zero difference if he had started when the tactics were to sit off and watch Germany.

Billy gilmour can take the ball off the defence and get turned and get a pass off which is what we were crying out for when we couldn't get out our own box for first 20 mins. He has energy that we also needed. . And coming on second half when the game is dead and down to 10 men means nothing mate that's probably to get him sharp for the next game and give guys a breather that have been chasing shadows

I would play mctominey in defence aswell, think we are better when he plays in defence. But all that aside we were uo against it from the start never mind the injuries 🤕 struggling at RB

Lets he honest Steve Clarke got it all wrong. Team selection, team tactics, team formation and team motivation lacking to say the least. This is not a knee jerk reaction Scotland has won one game in how many? Pumped by England, pumped by Spain, pumped by the Dutch, beaten at home by N Ireland, struggled against GIBRALTAR and drew at home against Finland. Ralston can't get a game for Celtic, Porteous a proven hot head in his own box, McGinn is clearly not fit as he has been towing a caravan the last few games and not selecting the one player who can pop the ball around for fun. The most negative Normans team selection and performance since Craig Levine's 4-6-0 formation.😢😢😂😂

The balance required versus Germany was somewhere between the craven timidity of Clarke's selection and the indefensible thuggery of Porteus' idiotic red card assault. Scotland appeared to want to become the first team to finish 3rd in a football match. In other news: there's a reason Callum McGregor will never leave Celtic (no-one wants to buy him) I'm also sure that many Scots are heartily sick of the willing conscripts in the Tartan Tuechter Army who are more interested in dressing up and being the most fun losers to be with rather than actually winning games of football.

Anything out Scotland football we sucks national n domestic, spfl falling behind in Europe too and this population rubbish ain't cutting it with me, youth game needs to be looked at for future reference, not single shot on goal, Switzerland just beat Hungary 3-1 and you reckon we could get result against any 2 of them.

Clark got the team selection all wrong. To put Adams in instead of Shankland is mind boggling. Porteous is a terrible defender and should be no where near a Scotland team. John Sutter is our best defender

Im not a fan of Adams but to say its mindboggling is nonsense. Dykes was always going to be the first choice for this game and when he got injured the natural selection was adams as he is supposed to be more mobile than Shankland, although you wouldnt know it from that performance. I would play Shankland against the Swiss but i certainly wouldnt be surprised if he goes with Adams again.
