Germany from Above - Spectacular Route from Lindau to Berchtesgaden (HD) 

My brother and I took this route when we were in Germany this past May 2015. Just gorgeous.

Its the most outstanding video about how beautiful Germany is. I am impressed with taste and intelligence of this nation. Music is also beautiful. Thank you for this video.

Such a beautiful country. We have vacationed in Switzerland, Austria and Germany each year for the past 60 years. It was much closer when we lived in UK for 30 years but now that we live in San Francisco, California, it involves long arduous flights and many inconveniences. But the reward of beautiful landscapes, history, and great food, wine, beer and of course ladies more than compensates for our suffering the agonies of world travel these days. I am so in love with Germany that I married a German beauty who I met on the Ski Slopes of Engelberg 53 happy years ago. Thanks so much for this fantastic and comprehensive video. One of the few regions not covered in your video is Alsace, Strassbourg on the border with France. Another jewel is Lake Bled in Slovenia.

What stunning country!

Germany, from my experiences there in the 1960s, was an eye opener from a hick from upstate New York. Hate to tell you this, but Western Europe is much more beautiful that most of the USA, although America has advantages of size and climate, and is wonderful in its own right. The Germans are a remarkable people, intelligent, honest and direct. And handsome, too. Yeah, I know, I really like the Germans.

Among our favorite memories are visits to Hohenzollern while living in Germany a half hour north. And the day we visited Lichtenstein castle, we were greeted by a flock of black birds circling the castle, like something out of a fairy tale illustration. The valley between the Alb and Black Forest is among the most beautiful countryside we have ever seen.

I cycled this on the Bodensee to Konigsee cycle route. very similar route. Absolutely fantastic scenery. Bavaria is one of the most underrated holiday destinations.

Thank you for this marvellous and really interesting depiction of my homeland. There has been some infos that were new to me. And I have to say that I am amazed that an english producer depicts Germany not just as a nazi-kraut WW2 scenery. Thank you.

My dad's favorite was Herren Chiemsee palace. We'd go there every summer on our way touring through Europe. Sometimes we'd go clockwise (from La Rochelle, France), other times counter-clockwise. What a great way to see the continent!!

While watching the video I felt like I was reading a book and could imagine all the things he was talking about. this video is like 25 min long, I didn't even realize how the time went by, I was glued to the screen and listening to him so attentively. This is by far the best video on Germany I've ever watched tbh, and it is incredible that this quality video was made 6 years ago!!!

I live next to Burg Hohenzollern 4:52. As children we only had to cross a small hidden path up a hill, little bit dangerous^^, and we were knights with our selfmade wooden swords up that castle hill. Beautiful times, today this isn't possible for children, the castle mountain is closed.

I‘m German and I can say that many, many cities in Germany have castles. I live in a city with the population of 70,000 and we have a big castle right in the heart of our city. I also love the areas in German cities where you can find these old wonderful buildings and houses, we call it "Altstadt", which means old city (but it‘s not a city just an area)

Germany is probably one of the most beautiful countries in the world. How they built back after the two world wars (mainly WWII) is amazing. And yes, I realize the allies had a big part in that rebuild also. I have been several times from 1980 to 2011 and each time there was always so much more to see. A very good friend taught kindergarten on an army base for 13 years back in the 80’s to early ‘90’s and I was fortunate to visit her several times and travel during the summer with her. Would love to go back one last time to see some of what we missed.

I am British, but so many of our towns, but by no means not all, are just dull even bland and bleak. I have travelled around Germany and they have so many places that are lovely and just plain pleasant to be in.

1:44 Lindau has never belonged to France. After WW II it was part of the french occupation zone. But if Lindau was french in that time, you must call Munich an american city or Hamburg a british one. 1949 the Federal Republic of Germany was found, and of course Lindau was a part of this new country. And Austria? Well, Lindau really once belonged to Austria, but this is a very short episode - from 1804-1805. In fact, Lindau is a from the beginning of its history a german town.

Born and raised in germany. Have roots that couldn´t be more german. I am now 32 years old. And were never on any of these locations. What a shame.

A beautiful country with beautiful medieval buildings, but above all else the narration and the voice of the narrator is just super amazing.

Everytime this desinformtion... Germany, the cultural, historical, Traditional and thnic Land of the Germans already exists since Thousands of years. In 1871 only finally all little independent German states(except for Austria, Luxembuorg and Liechtenstein because Prussia did not want them in the German nationalstate) united and created one German nationalstate. But before that the Holy Roman Empire of GERMAN Nation already Existed since almost 1000 years. Its so sad thst all of Germany got destroyed on ww2 by the massive evil Terror and moral-bombings by the british. You can just imigane how beautiful Germany and the German cities just have been seeing all these few castles and cities ajd buildings that survived, but already those few buildings that survived the war and the occupation, are so beautiful. But there still some pictures showing us how beautiful the German cities must have been. German cities were the most beautiful and most romantic ones in the world with so mich life and culture. Even much better than Paris. You see it with some little cities that survived like Heidelberg etc... And German cities looked different from Region to Region because of all the different German tribes and people and the different German cultures. The German cities were rebuilt so ugly after the war its just so sad... Oh and the Germany is we know it today was only formed in 1955, or actually just 1990 as the West German State and the German Democratic Republic 'united'... Because after ww2 Germany/the German nationalstate lost huge Parts of its land. More than the Half of Germany was annexed by other countries.
