This is fake news. The process of tender still going on. Germany didn't demonstrated AIP on submarine that was earlier offered by them because they themselves didn't operationalized it in German Navy yet In short there is no submarine in the world that is offered to India that fulfill Indian Navy requirements and fully operational

Excellent news and much awaited. Instead of only MDL manufacturing one submarine at a time which will take much longer why not involve two other shipbuilding companies to manufacture two submarines so that Indian Navy can get 3 subs at a time. This will help in other yards get expertise in submarine building. The Indian Gov't should immediately decide this. JAI BHARAT.

These are not diesels submarines. They are fuel cell powered ..pump jet propelled..lithium battery submarines. Not yet available in operating condition with any country in the world Diesel engine powered propeller driven lead acid battery submarine are having short dive period Nuclear subs are noisy and costly

I hope you are reporting correctly.We have burried the ghosts of HDW.Still if Thysen Krupp is still prefereð and all worked out with Germany good. What about the MTU engines for Arjun MBT.Zorawar engines have now been changed to Cummins from German MTU.All the best.

India should cooperate more with Germany rather than France and Russia as we have seen in both our aircraft engine designs and Rafale deals French have constantly increased costs, doesn’t want Indian partners nor want to share technology!! Same is the case with Russia and USA ain’t giving you shit 🤦🤣 but the catch here is majority of these high tech machinery and precision technology is made possible by Germans and it was the German scientists captured by Allies in WW2 who laid the foundation for high technology engineering of companies like GE, Safran, Boeing, Dassault etc. India did had cooperation with Germany for indigenous designs back in 1980’s but never took it seriously, Indian govt should hire top German engineers or allow private companies to do so in order to make our independent engines and other systems!! Germany is non Veto country, largely dependent on exports with top quality talent and we can use them similarly how China did with Italian and German engineers and designers for its Automotive Industry BYD MG Motors Xiaomi all are by products of this initiative

Only Germany has a proven Fuel cell AIP tech. No other country still has a proven Fuel cell AIP. Others in the list of 9 have sterling class AIP which is very noisy and compromises the stealth.

Make no mistake, these same countries (USSR,France, Israel) had no problem transferring advanced submarine tech to China from late 50s to 90s. In fact Sweden happily supplied Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) tech to China IN as far back as 1980s but is now refusing it all to India. Their claims to stand with democratic countries is bunch to non-sense.
