Germany Motorhome Tour 2018- Part 4! This time we visit Hohenzollern Castle in the Black Forest of Germany- ohhhh, this is one special place!

We were really excited to visit some of the castles in Germany as part of our 2018 Road Trip. Hohenzollern Castle is the first one - and what a way to start!! It's a beautiful castle- we hope you enjoy sharing the visit with us. Hohenzollern Castle is possibly my new favourite castle- although there are plenty more to see during our motorhome tour so perhaps my view will change!

ABOUT US:
In 2017, our family travelled Europe in a motorhome. When we returned, we decided we liked it so much we wanted to do it again! So we traded in the van for a bigger model, quit (one of) our jobs and in 2018 we're heading off to explore Europe again- proper RV living!
We started with Germany and then moving on to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and many more. We hope you can follow our journey!

So good seeing the castle again! The currywurst in the cafe there was amazing. Excellent timing with the rain. I think Jade has you beat on tongue twisters though 😂

That's one impressive castle Kat and well worth the visit. It always amazes me how they were able to construct such amazing buildings all those years ago with very little in the way of tools. Nice one. Keep em coming...........Andy 😉👍👍

I have a real softspot for a good castle !!. Lived in Geemany for three years, and loved it...(.in Heidelberg.) An amazing country....and they 'do' do castles well don't they!! Safe travels guys!!

Wandering Bird Adventures it's a real roller coaster ride! Good days, bad days, terrible days! :P but it's progressing. Had a good weekend fitting our roof racking channels, so today we ready to insulate the ceiling, and start cladding and flooring...this is where the fun will start! :)

We found that when we did our boats- it's boring to start with, and the preparation takes SO MUCH TIME... but then it gets really good fun when you get to start actually building and seeing it all take shape. 👍

We visited Hohenzollern when were in Germany as well :-). So weird to think that the people who built it, and their families, never even lived there.

Another amazing castle. It was absolutely gorgeous. I’m with you I absolutely love castles and their history. Thanks for sharing. By the way how do you find towing with your motorhome. We are yet to buy ours, but are considering towing a very small car so we can get around when we pitch up. Do you find it hinders finding campsites? X

We actually find it easier to tow with a motorhome than with a car, as it's so big already and you don't feel the 'pull' in the same way. We deliberately look for sites which have slightly larger pitches. We've never had an issue on an actual campsite, but some overnight places are pretty tight so we avoid those. But there are so many other options to stay, especially in Europe, so don't let that stop you.

😂😂I promise- it won't be like Game of Thrones. It will either be out Thursday (if I get time!) or Sunday at the very latest. Although if anyone wants to pay me Game of Thrones money, I can string it out for another two years at least! 😂
