Yeah, what makes it worse is that Brazil is a strong national team. If I supported a team like Norwich or Watford and they were playing Liverpool and they scored to make it 5-1 I would be happy that we scored since we are far worse than Liverpool.

It's because neuer saved germany when brazil was peppering them with shots. Brazil had 4-5 really good chances that neuer saved. He deserved a clean sheet for that performance but the defenders didn’t care after securing the final.

On the second half, the german team was going easier on the brazilian one. Watching the full length game shows you that. Neuer was making it easier as well, still, no goalkeeper likes suffering a goal.

Germany 2014 was the best team in history. No doubt. No other team had that Teamwork and mentality ever. This was a once in a lifetime performance. Never seen before. Never seen after that again.
Brazil would’ve kept up had Colombia not injured Neymar and most importantly Thaigo Silva being out. Backline was a mess and completely disjointed. Brazil surprisingly had more shots and shots on goal. Almost all of Germanys goals came from defensive mistakes. Obviously a fluke match and excellent finishing from Germany.

Actually Germany went easy on them. After the first half Löw told them to hold back. A few goals still happend because the Schürle was taking a piss when the team was told to not score anymore. They tried their hardest to not embarrasse the host country
The coach later said on German television that he had only warned the team during the break not to take the players seriously from now on and threatened not to let any players who made fun of the Brazilians play in the final.
