In your video "Salary for doctors - Comparison Germany vs Switzerland" you had said that the salary in swiss is on average 2-3 thousands net more. What has changed?

First of all thank you for your insights! Would it be possible to make a detailed video discussing and comparing the salary of doctors throughout their careers in Germany and Switzerland. Maybe even touching on the reputation of Switzerland as a tax haven and how that effects the salary. Thank you for consideration.

Hi, doc! thanks for the info. Can you tell us about the difference you as a radiologist specialist got to experience in both countries that made you decide to end up working in Switzerland and not in Germany?

All you mentioned in the video are the advantages of working in German,I want to know the reason why you still choose to work in Swiss.

Hi!! Thank you for this video 😊😊 is it possible to do two medical residency at same time?

A 1st year resident doctor in Germany earns~ 2600 € netto/ month basic salary (~4600 brutto). Whereas a 1st year resident doctor in Switzerland earns around 5500 € netto/month basic salary. (before tax its around 7000€) So, you earn more than twice as much in Switzerland as from 1st year residency itself. The only reason you can earn a much lower salary in Switzerland is if you are non EU and you have a medical degree from a non EU country. Then, you will be put in the category of unrecognised degrees. From there, you will have to pay and prepare a lot (for exams) to just getting yourself registered in the Swiss medical board. But registered still doesn't mean recognised. Once there, if a hospital still pities you and offers you a job (after considering all other EU applicant who have a priority over you), they will pay you around only half of what a doctor with a recognised medical degree gets paid.

Nice theory… but it’s not the reality.

@@eurojobs9128 haha yeah that was a speculation. But how else would someone earn lower in Switzerland such that they get merely 1000€ more than what they would get in Germany, according to what you were saying? 🤔

Exactly i don't think so Coz surgeons in Switzerland earn significantly more Anything less than 270k per year is a robbery

Sir But I have one confusion... In the previous videos you had said that work life balance is great than Germany and pay is also double or triple in switzerland than Germany... And you had also put the video that switzerland is the best for doctors... But this video looks opposite to these .. please explain sir

What I wanted to say with this video is that Germany has some advantages and is good for some situations.. eg large family, if you like living in large cities, if you want better contracts and quick citizenship..etc etc.. the point is more nuanced.. nowhere have I said Switzerland is bad or Germany is bad..
