Holly crap ari your coming to ottawa? ILL BE THERE DUDE no one ever comes here they always do Toronto instead... THANKS DUDE! looking for tickets now ill have a yummy treat for you to take with you if i come!
It's a great premise and Ari is way more likeable on this than anything else I've seen him on but dude, STFU a bit and let the guest speak for a second
Ari, of all the things that I’ve watched with you in it I feel that you’re the absolute most genuinely happy when talking about travel. I agree that there’s nothing better, and your voice shows it all in this series. Good on you mate.
I think this was the best episode so far, because Kevin's actually lived in Germany and seen what daily life is like. Some of the other guests have talked about the thing as a tourist (which is still fine), but Kevin actually had real insight and understanding because he lived there and because his wife is German (of Czech descent). Really enjoyed it.
Not sure what that refers to? Aren't you allowed to be complementary to anything or anyone anymore? Sorry, I'll be toxic like everyone else.@@orangeyewglad
Great podcast i love that you make your guests stick to one trip. They can come back and talk about anotgr trip. But if they say their talking about Germany thats the topic. Makes me look forward to returning guests like Santino. I want to hear about the other part of his trip, but he changed countrys so next time.
Great episode. I lived in Germany for almost five years (military) near Ramstein and Stuttgart. Lots of highlights; autobahn, fresh produce/meats, fantastic bakeries, festivals almost every weekend during the warm months (in both small villages and large towns), great beer, etc. Tons of history. The bathroom situation isn't always great; larger cities are better, but smaller towns and villages often have little to no public bathrooms. BUT, it's actually legal to publicly piss in Germany. You just have to face away from the public/traffic. I even saw a woman take a piss behind a bus stop in the middle of the day, lol.
been digging this pod, it's got a chill vibe. i hope you can have colin quinn on one day, his knowledge of history and travel would be a perfect fit for this show.
I went to Berlin and Munich way back in 2009, don't remember the kiosks, but man I love them in Argentina, where they are called kiosco. It's essentially like a mini 7 Eleven. It's full of snacks and beverages, including alcohol.
Great episode,as always! I’ve missed this intros and outros of Ari standing in the middle of the woods just talking, skeptic tank vibes! Please come to Portugal!
I travel in the same style. Much more interested in the experience, the locals, getting to know people. Sometimes it sounds crazy, but been to Cambodia a bunch of times, never seen Angkor Wat. Also, the whole idea of getting out and being uncomfortable is a must. Been in places in China alone where there was NO English, had to point at food on other tables and just smile to order the same thing. Been in a TON of odd situations like that.
I love this podcast. Keep doing what you’re doing. You all should look at having Matt Marshall on. He’s the host for the GoSports streaming network. He’s articulate, has a great sense of humor and has some incredible travel stories.
Did the right thing. A lot to discover in that part of Germany since it is also close to the Alps, Austria and Italy. And Munich in general has a lot to offer culturally but you can also do day drinking in beer gardens
I really like the theme. It's interesting, useful, and a very nice change of pace. I watch all these comics pods and I love that kind of conversation, just shootin the poop. But this is a good addition to the many, many, comic pods. Great job Jew.
When you see the destination is Germany and youtube asks you if you're sure you want to watch this you already know where the conversation is going to end up.
I know Ari is going to Lexington soon. We have an apple cider bar that sounds similar to what Kevin mentioned at 24:06 . Very good especially the bourbon barrel ciders that are dry not too sweet, it's wise bird in the distillery district
Really diggin this pod, great job man! I agree that the October fest needs to be its own, but maybe have a special October fest episode with Kippy, Yannis, and any others that have been to it.
