Well at least in Germany you do not pay astronomical prices like in the US for abysmal internet providers like Windstream and Comcast.... etc.

My connection is fantastic.. maybe you are expecting something that just doesn't work in a market economy, living at the end of the world but wanting fast internet. If you don't have it it just doesn't seems not to be feasible where you live at this point.

Been living here for almost a year now. Amazing country and people. Germans have no sense of humor because they're always too busy building something.

Yeah...not quite true. It is a topic which is a worry in Germany, but the difference between rich and poor isn't quite as big as in most other countries. And we have created circumstances, in which the next generation is able to achieve a higher standard of education compared to the former ones. Don't get me wrong here, there are problems which need to get addressed. But if you compare Germany with most other countries, well, we are better off than most. And what we call poverty, that's what other countries call the better off in society. Bremerhaven specifically has a very high unemployment rate because it didn't manage the transition as well as for example Hamburg.

As a German I agree - our country suffers from decade-long​ underinvestment in infrastructure.

You are completely right. Germany is a country with a rich state and poor citizens because of it. The inflation of the state and its employees has risen to ridiculous heights. Just look at the number of people and the annual budget of the state controlled TV stations. No wonder you don't keep a lot of your salary after all of this has been paid for. Time to move or make a revolution. I see no other way out.

Germany has no serious problems with immigrants. They are a perfect replacement for our low reproduction rate, and once they spent here some years, have learned the language and the culture, have become Germans by heart, they will be as productive as any other Germans. Germany has done that successfully for centuries. The secret is active integration. Actually, lacking children, we need many more immigrants to keep our social and education systems alive, two pillars of our success. The biggest threat are the little half-nazis that feel emboldened to come out of their sinister caves to attack our society and the fundamental openness and tolerance towards immigrants that is enshrined in our constitution and that is an earmark of our society. Integrating half-nazis is much more difficult than integrating immigrants.

@3.14159265358 Same here in Germany - prisons are full of migrants alas. Some do integrate, but especially those from the Middle East often struggle, also for religious reasons. I am opposed to further migration from this region for this reason, in addition to the individuals' often low educational achievements which do not match the needs of a high wage economy labour market.
