Reflecting upon our opening last year, it would only be fitting to introduce you to the leader of our Wonderful Hosts - our esteemed General Manager, Gerrit Schmitt!
Gerrit brings with him over 25 years of industry experience working across different countries and territories: Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia included.
In his most recent position, he held the title of Senior Area Director of Operations, working in both the Middle East and Africa and taking charge of 65 properties across 18 brands, overseeing 300 F&B outlets and a total of 14,000 employees. To add to these impressive numbers, during this time he personally spearheaded pre-opening and opening operations for close to 40 hotels and resorts in the UAE.
