If I had to write a bucket list of only 5 things I must do in life, then performing THIS song in this exact arrangement to THIS degree of excellence has to make my top five bucket list. I have years of hard work to get there, but I've finally gotten my own marimba after ten years without touching one. Thanks for inspiring me so much to push my limits!

Ms. Adélaïde Ferrière: I sure hope you were filmed on a green screen and not standing on the roof of a high rise building! I know playing marimba is stressful enough at times with stand in hat position! Excellent job playing the piece perfectly!!

Vraiment superbe ! Je ne suis qu’orthophoniste, mais j’ai eu en rééducation vocale, un éminent percussionniste à Strasbourg, qui jouait six marimbas ,de Steve Reich, un peu partout, même au Japon, une mémoire auditive, comme je n’ai plus jamais vue! Il n’avait que des difficultés vocales en donnant des cours ..

Excellent Performance and Excellent Recording. Extremely difficult. I play some of this on the piano. I can't imagine doing it on the marimba. WOW sounds Great too!

I'd be very interested in a few of the technical details - Adelaide - did you use syncing to a track you had already made in a concert hall? I think it's rather hard to believe that kind of sound is what one hears on top of 33rd Street (or wherever you were)... you used radio mikes hidden inside the marimba? 😊 Anything's possible - Who made the decisions about editing of the video and audio? You, or your production company? It's a lot of fun...

It's scary to see her so close to the edge of the building. There is no safety. She's only about 5 feet away from the edge. SCARY.

Well played. Some difficult physical movements in there. Musically, though, is it worth all that effort to transcribe big piano works? I wonder if it would be better to take your considerable skill and write something original?

The musicality of this arrangement is beautiful. This is not mere technical skill but real musical mastery of a marimba. This arrangement is so good it should be performed with prominent orchestras.
