Gert Sterner, intothered.dk, makes the 2011 fastest Nurburgring BTG lap for his Alfa Romeo 145 Q at 9:11. This is done with the Toyo R888 tires in October.
Excellent driving there! The 145 is such a great little driver's car and completely and utterly under-rated....most of all it is driven by people with passion and not money! You clearly show that here when you are able to keep up with the porsche through the twisties (ok not the gt3 though!).....Alfa will never be understood by the masses, but maybe that is a good thing! P.S I went to the October meet with E500TAT below!
My dad had Alfa Romeo 146 1.6ts(120hp). Car was slow for its power, it could be easily beaten by Megane 1.6 16v (107ps). In 3.months.of ownership dad spend around 500€ on repairs. He didn't drive it like maniac, and car had low mileage. Later he sold it and guy who bought 146 was on his way to Germany where engine died on autobahn. For us it was a waste of money.
Nice car and really great driving! I have the same one (even also black one) for track days. It's nice to see how does it look like at Nurburgring. Thanks for video!
You are welcome. I also like the car for both my every day use and as a trackday car. I only have this one car, so I have to use it for both :-) I wish you some good speed in yours! :-)
Fed video! Selv ejer af en 146 2.0 TI, så jeg sidder bare og savler. Må indrømme du er fandme en dygtig chauffør! Flere uploads af dig og dine laps osv. Mvh Thomas
Thanks ! :-) I like the 145 Q too! I try to drive as many cars, as people let me. And even though my 145 Q is a "Girl's car" from 1996 it is not the worst car I have driven. Not the slowest either, so I agree with you :-) If I am to meet you guys in October, I need to know where I can see when you are comming?
selling my last Alfasud ti to Peter Dyrelund in Denmark...and now after 20 years i want to buy even this 145 OV for 700 Euro in very good condition in Germany...i think it is a good Deal...
Hi Gert. Very nice video! My opinion the best shots are always from co-pilot eye view. :) ...and the drive! Clean and care. Watched few times already. Do You still drive the 145? Could You tell me what exactly is bellas heart? Subtitles said 2.0 150KM, so normally it is TwinSpark, but I'm watching and watching(listening:) ) and I'm really, really sure I hear pure boxer sound? I'm totally confused! Have You tuned up 1.7 > 2.0 or what is the trick? :) Jacek
Hi Jacek, thanks! I still drive it, as you can se on my channel. I have just been to Spa and Nürburgring. The camera position is often dictated by what you can get away with at the venue you are attending. I.e. Nürburgring has certain rules about cameras. The 145 Q is a standard 2.0 liter with 150 HP. The only tuning is harder suspension. I used to have a 33 QV with a boxer, and that sounds a lot different and much better :-) I will put up some videos with that in the future.
That's great! I've just saw Your profile and the video from Spa, my dream-track to drive sometime in the future. In boxers there is a bit difference of sound between two type of exhaust manifold and the straight one gives sound closer to R4. I have both types in my 33's and Your 145 sounds closer to the straight manifold 33 for me, than to other 145 2.0, for example .. :) However it is really nice sound here. I am always welcome to see 33 onboard from racing track. :) Btw. What kind of wheels You use for racing?
33 is such a nice car. I might get one again some time. I use AZEV 15" wheels from the period of launch of the car. They are ugly but light weight and stiff.
Good smooth driving Gert, however, you will have more control if you don't 'feed 'the steering wheel in corners. Feeding the wheel is Ok in town etc, but bad news on a race circuit. Place your hands at a 10 to 2 or quarter to three position (and keep them there, except for changing gear).... what do I know ?? well, I am an ex Brands Hatch and Silverstone Instructor from a few moons ago, so I know a little bit about car controls etc
Thanks for your steering input ;-) I know about that method, and have trained doing that as well, but I have to do it the other way, because I don't have bucket seats. The steering wheel is also keeping me in the seat :-)
Tak! :-)
Thanks! I don't know what you mean by "can't find my car", but if it means that you can't find a good car for a bit of trackday, I think you should just take another look. There are lots of nice cars for sale.
@@hariskapirtis5942 Good stuff! But I think that track driving experience ,and knowledge about the actual track, helps a lot more than a fast and well tuned car. That's why you see me overtaking lots of Porsches in my other videos from Nürburgring. I probably know the track a little better than the drivers in the Porsches.
