The difference is this that when you use a preposition after any adjective, you must use a gerund, but when you do not use a preposition after an adjective, you will need to use an infinitive form of a verb. That is because after adjectives, you usually will need the infinitive form of a verb. Again, that is unless you have a preposition after that adjective. Prepositions always require a gerund form of a verb after them.

"ABOUT to teach" is correct. This is a way to show future intention for something that is going to happen right away. "I'm about to go to bed" is something you can say while getting ready for bed, for example

I might be wrong but this is a form of Gerund. "To" comes in infinitives sentence but looking forward to meeting you, "forward to" is phrasal verb which is used over here. This teacher can tell you much better otherwise.

Hi, the second one the teacher gave is in passive voice but it isn't necessarily the passive voice form of the entire sentence before it. To really do that would mean inverting subject and object and changing the verb form. Maybe the teacher was just showing how the verb in the original sentence could become a gerund passive. Your sentence was also correct
