In this week’s episode we discuss the highly anticipated PPV card featuring two of boxings brightest young stars in Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and David Benavidez. David Benavidez made his Light Heavyweight debut by beating former WBC Champ Oleksandr Gvozdyk via UD. Does David stay at 175 lbs to challenge either Bivol or Beterbiev? Gervonta Davis defended his WBA Lightweight World Title by knocking out undefeated Frank Martin in the 8th round. Gervonta has solidified himself as one of boxing’s brightest stars and one of the most entertaining fighters in boxing today.
In Puerto Rico we saw Subriel Matias lose his IBF Jr Welterweight World Title via UD to underdog Liam Paro in what was slated to be a celebratory home coming for Matias. Subriel Matias suffered his second defeat as a professional. What went wrong in Matias debut with Matchroom boxing?

Idk canelo and benavidez are two very different type of fighters.. canelo is smaller from what people say, shorter, shorter arms, and he’s a counterpuncher. Benavidez is bigger longer arms, has good conditioning, and he brings pressure with counterpunches. Canelo and benavidez aren’t as similar as people think

@@el_pipichu5823 idk but it could i mean gvozdyk’s punches seemed to have an effect on benavidez more than benavidez’s punches on him when he actually threw them , i know gvozdyk has more power than bivol probably but idk to me david doesn’t have many technique , he is just a very physical fighter , gvozdyk could hang in there cause he was the bigger man but he is old already , bivol can certainly do a better fight but idk , obviously anything can happen in boxing

I felt Davis would be a huge challenge in this fight and unfortunately it turned out that way. Tyrone's movement gave him fits and he looked a lot quicker than Elijah. Garcia looked sluggish and slow compared to Davis. Garcia was getting beat to the punch continually and the pattern never changed all fight long. That was a hugely disappointing performance by Garcia. I didn't think the fight was that close. Davis won decisively.He's young so he's got time to come back from this loss.

If I stand you next to a guy and you are bigger than him then why does it matter how big you were 7 years prior!? I didn’t see Benavidez beat Gvozdyk. I had that a draw. From the 7th round on, it was Gvozdyk. At the end of the fight, Benavidez looked worse than Gvozdyk.
