The Nazi apparatus of oppression in occupied Poland could not function efficiently if it were not for informers.
According to the sources of the Silesian resistance movement, at least 2,000 people operated here - Gestapo informers. It was a huge and dangerous group. They were firmly rooted in their environment. They knew perfectly well which of their friends had a pro-Polish past and what they did during the war.
The motives of people who decided to become spies varied. Some expected material benefits, others were forced to do it - by blackmail.
We present you the story of several dangerous collaborators of the Katowice Gestapo who did not escape justice after the war...
