This is the best succinct video for gesture and contour drawing that I've seen as an art teacher. I've seen too many gesture drawing instructional videos with way too much outline happening, and also using gesture drawing only within the context of figure drawing. I have my (high school) students gesture draw objects way more than figures, and show them how you can use this process to give life to inanimate objects like in animated films. Nice lesson! I laughed so hard when "Talent" was mentioned. When you're having a midlife crisis and making a conscious choice to learn art you really have to trust its a process that doesn't require some magical born with talent.
