I recommend making notes about where each one comes from because it can be hard to remember where you got each stamp if you can't read the kanji, and sometimes hard to remember even if you CAN read it! Maybe hold up the stamp book and take a picture of the stamp with the shrine or temple you got that stamp at in the background :)
That’s pretty cool. In Spain there is something similar for the “Camino De Santiago” which are a network of ancient pilgrimage routes that start from many different places outside of Spain ending in the Cathedral in Santiago (northwest Spain). Pilgrims carry a booklet they can get stamped at different points around the route, churches or pilgrim hostels. At the end of the trip you can present the book as evidence of completing the minimum distance of the pilgrimage to get a document fro the Church. Looking forward to future videos on shrine visits.
These two are in opposite directions of my house. The first is about a 10 minute drive I think, and the other is maybe 15 minutes from my house. Maybe, I didn't time them :) They might be a bit farther
You can get Goshuincho books at just about every shrine that does these stamps. They will usually have their own custom designed book, so you can get a book from your favourite shrine or temple, or at whatever shrine or temple you start your collection at. I have also see Goshuincho on sale at regular book stores like Tsutaya. Some of them can be very fancy and a bit expensive!
