I would make the cooked vanilla pudding. It won’t weep like the instant pudding can. It’s easy in the microwave.

I've made trifles for years. I used to make them for co-workers birthdays when I actually went into work, rather than working from home. Now I make everything from scratch so I can cut back on some of the sugar. One of my favorites was from either Taste of Home or Country Woman, a blue ribbon prize winner for Pumpkin Trifle. It calls for butterscotch pudding and spice cake. It's amazing.

I loooove trifle. My mom used to soak her cake in brandy. That's probably my favorite. She'd use yellow cake, strawberry preserves, vanilla pudding and cool whip. That was the only time she would ever use cool whip. My favorite trifle that I ever made was for Thanksgiving: butterscotch pudding with pumpkin cake, brandy and real homemade whipped cream. OH MY GOSH. I was lucky enough that my sister-in-law gave me a beautiful glass pedestaled trifle dish as a wedding gift and that is what I use to make a trifle. They are special occasion for sure!

Love your heart, you worked all day, came home and did your chores, made dinner, made a video and baked a coworker a bday cake. Where do you get your energy? I cant remember the last time I had a birthday cake. Before my momma got sick she used to make me a coconut cream pie. Thanks for sharing this along with prompting us to consider other combinations. Love this idea! It's so pretty, who wouldn't be tempted to dig right in? I just canned apple pie filling. With apple walnut bread crumbled and cheese cake pudding, I think it might be our family's favorite. Gears are turning.. Doesn't a banana bread with bananas, cheese cake pudding. whipped cream, and topped with walnuts sound good? Blueberry pie filling with cream cheese pudding with angel food cake 😊 sounds delicious too

I love peaches that looks good. I had a lot of fresh peaches beautifully frozen, really took my time preparing them, and they were good, was going to do some canning in cold weather. We had a rare hurricane and knocked out power the only thing that did not survive in my freezer was all the fruit. I am bummed to say the least.

The trifle looks so delicious! I’m always looking for something too. Tonight while I was making dinner, I was prepping a crock pot meal to put in the crock pot tomorrow morning. I peeled 4 cloves of garlic then later couldn’t find them. It turned out that I threw them in the trash! 🤦‍♀️

Made me want some.....I make Trifles too....haven't made one in a long time...last one I made was in a clear 9x13 casserole dish and it was much easier to spoon out.....by using a spatula....and it comes out all in one piece.....we liked it better that way, but I agree they are prettier to show in a trifle bowl....but just seemed easier and less messy to get out of dish.....🤣Mr. Brown sure enjoyed it for sure.....I didn't think he was going to tell us how he like it until he finished it ...😁.
