FPT University is located at Saigon high-tech park in district 9 and surrounded by the leading high-tech companies such as Intel, Samsung, Nidec, FPT Software and research centre for modern science and technology.
It was officially commenced at the beginning of March, 2017 with the area of 22.540 square metres and the capacity of 15.000 students. The architectural design is inspired by the Southern Vietnam landscape, so the building block is shaped like a grandiose mountain with 3 highest peaks which are 6 storey, 8 storey and 11 storey building. In the middle of the terrain, FPT University Campus which is covered with the greenery towers majestically in the East of HCMC.
Beside being the function spaces such as library, Vovinam yard, football yard, classrooms and administration offices, FPT University is also a research center where students can approach effectively the high technology.
The exclusive element of this campus is green façade. The natural ventilation uses the natural forces of wind to deliver fresh air into buildings. With the purpose-green installation, the buildings use the wind for cooling and daylight for natural lighting. Moreover, the yard design is inspired by Paris La Defense Arena - a performance space with multi-coloured bricks. From the bird’s eye view, the soft grey, red and yellow tiles create a fancy looking space for FPT University yard.
FPT University students study in an eco-friendly, modern and sustainable facility which use natural resources, reduce C02 emissions and solve the energy problem for the next generations. Additionally, FPT University offers a green learning and working spaces where students and officers strengthen their attention and stir them thinking outside of the box.
