So my podcast has been trying to figure this out. My question is if we do this will it work with all 4 of us being on a mic? Or is this one person only? We are trying to record sound into Facebook live and not just pick up from the phone camera
Would you recommend recording with filmic pro and send that audio to garage band or Logic and mix there? Or opening garage band and recording through there? I wonder what would be higher quality
@@anthonysthellhammerg4388 I have been recording on both garage band and filmic pro to test for the best quality result. I have my mixing board going out into a headset buddy cable that connects to my iPhone/IPad. On the iPad, filmic pro doesn’t allow me to see audio levels, But it does on the iPhone, recording a AIFF file that I then get using the “shortcuts” app. I sent the file to garage band on the iPad and is far superior than recording with GarageBand. I don’t know if buying the Apple connector would make a difference here with GarageBand. It’s abit of a process but it’s the best audio you can get to mix and master in garage band if like me you don’t have a computer yet.
4:38 The cable in this part of the video - would the below link be comparable to the one in the video? Pig Hog Soliutions Stereo Breakout Cable 3.5mm to Dual 1/4"
at 6:53 you are talking about your 8 inch stereo and 1/4 inch cable - do you have any recommendations of a decent brand to get for this cable or where you got your cable?
I used Boss Jock. How do I know the iphone or ipad microphone is not in use when I stream? The Jack went into the speaker out of my mixer....is this right? Thank you so much in advance.
My question for you: I have most of the cables you recommend. One more? If I want to use the Monitor channel off the mixer that goes to a stage box... it's a 1/4' connector and typically uses a speaker cable. Do I use a Speaker Cable that runs about 15 feet into the Headset Buddy adaptor you recommend. What cable do I use or should I not use the monitor channel, which is mono? I am connecting to an iPhone.
Speaker cables are used from the Power amp to non powered speakers only. It’s not shielded. The other 1/4” jack is tip hot and shield negative. This is line level signal not from amp. Never plug a signal from a power amp to your cel. You will blow your cel up.
Hello. question: I have behringer line 2 usb cable + otg cable for android phone live facebook transmissions. where do I insert the two behringer line2 usb jacks into the soundcraft efx 8 mixer? thank.
Love your video...very helpful. One issue I’ve run into lately is that FB live won’t pick up my audio unless I plug in after starting the FB live. Any ideas on how to overcome this?
yes that happened to us too..we used the same set up for a month now and last week external sound was not being picked up..glad to read this comment...i started fb live and then plugged in the dongle and it worked..thank you!
Using the Headset Buddy eliminated distortion I was occasionally having coming straight from main mix in X32 Producer to Samsung S10 Plus, but now the streaming volume (Facebook Live) level is way too low. Any ideas on how to fix this?
please , i have a question. someone told me if i connect TRS to adapter TS female to TRS male on insert will change to work a direct output ? that right ? or 2. use 1/4-inch TRS Female to 1/4-inch TRS Male Headphone Extension Cable
Question if you’re doing a Facebook live and you are using a mixer but you also want to hear people that might want to get into your live how is that accomplished?
Hey Man, Thanks for sharing. I have iostation 24c from presonus. And I want to live stream using my iphone6. can I use the same method you just showed? Like I will get the headset buddy then plug it to the main out of my iostation 24c, at the same time my 24c is connected to my laptop for reverb and other effects going thru studio one DAW then use my 2 condenser mics? is this possible? thanks
I’m using the Yamaha MGP24X and confused between the matrix, group, monitor, stereo and aux out. Can I get the audio mix out from aux to the smartphone?
Ok I got all your setup except I used open camera application same thing you have. But the problem is I don't have sound coming in from mixer. But if I do the the reverse I sound coming out to mixer from my phone but not coming in.. please help
My Yamaha MG82cx mixer has a phone channel with a single 1/4'"port and 1/4"L and R ports. Can I plug my 1/4" TRS cable from that single phone port to my TRRS Cable that goes to my iphone to get my mic and my music streaming audio more clear or do I need to use the L/R ports?
For someone trying these ideas out the Headset buddy spoken about in this video if you were to purchase one in the UK Its gonna set you back around £41.38 from Amazon. A little more than spending just a few bucks absolutely well over priced, In fact I would say that is a rip off.
The link doesn’t work. When I use this method with apple adapter and trs to trrs cable (using headphones output from my interface audio) the iPhone doesn’t use sound from interface output, but only from iPhones microphones, any idea why?
I have an Apollo Twin X Duo, I’m getting these cables, how can I use this to record filmic now has a subscription and I don’t want to do that, I’m going to use my iPhone as the main camera and audio through from my Apollo Twin X To my I phone ( please reply much appreciated )
Hi! Many thanks for this useful video. May I have a question? While the stereo audio inputs are recorded, will iPhone keep them in stereo form, L and R stored in different channels, or mix them, L+R, together and convert them into mono and store?
How can you tell if the volume levels it’s displaying in the app is from the input 3 ring audio cable lightning connector or from the built in mic of the iPhone itself ?
Hello, why didn't you use the USB port in the back of the mixer and then connect it to your phone using an adapter? Just a question for curiosity because I'm planning to buy the same mixer. Thank you 🤘🤘
As backup music on my small mixer...I use a unbalanced 1/4 cable with a 3.5 stereo plug in and I plug it into my mic input cuz I have no other room on my mixer. Seems to balanced and works okay....is that legit??
Praise be to God. Hi, I have a Sound craft signature series 22 channel mixer. There is no quarter inch option for main output, it just has XLR. So what can be done in this case. I would also be using those main XLR outputs for the main speakers in the church. Could you please help me out on this.
Thanks for the help. I also found a way to bring in audio while recording a video on iPhone. You need first pro camera by moment app. Works best letting you monitor incoming audio levels and mic gain control. Use a small portable MP3 player and connect audio to trrs to trs sliter to get two mic in audio and mic and one to monitor with headphones. Then you get quality audio in the video while recording a pre edit video
So I’m not coming out a mixer however, I got the ipad adapter siince I have a Ipad air 4 no headphone adapter on it. Now when I attach the headsett buddy to the adapter and connect the zoom h6’s line out with a 1/8 line cable to mic line 1/8 inch at the end that is going into the heaset buddy’s mic in port. The ppl can hear me talking perfect threw my condenser however, is a cone effect because the ipad is also keeping the built in mic now when I play it back on the zoom I can hear the condenser and the ppl perfect on the ipad however, it’s also picking up the mic on the ipad anyway to disable this and just use the condenser mic thru the zoom and not conflict with ipad built in mic? On a android don’t have that issue since my phone still has a headphone port which I just plug in my heaset buddy to it and it works flawless it disables the android’s built in mic but not on a ipad I figure it will automatically disabled the built in mic and run off the headset buddy any suggestions?
yes, try an adapter into your phone or ipad that splits the jack from a mic and headphone... that is what I usually have to do in your case/setup www.amazon.com/dp/B01I3A47I4/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_KGC8TKF879D037D9KFRD
Thanks so much for this video! I actually began using your method and I also purchased the headset buddy. But I have just one question! Is there another cable besides the headset buddy that’ll enable you to run the audio from your mixer into your iPhone but also allow you to still hear from the other side via your headphones? For example, if I’m duetting a video on TikTok, I’m able to run the audio from my mixer which makes the audio for my duet crispy clean BUT then I’m not able to hear the audio playing from the video that I’m duetting (if that makes sense!).
@@WorshiptheKingMusic yes sir. That’s the issue I have. Once i have the headset buddy connected, I’m not able to hear audio coming out from the other end. Like if I join a Instagram live session while using the headset buddy, my audio is clear and all but then the other party isn’t hearing me at all.
Great video. I have the Zoom LiveTrak L-8 and, unlike the L-12, I don't have a L/R out from the mixer. Instead I have 3 Monitor Out jacks. Can I use two of these (normally reserved for podcast guest headphones) and then just set the dials to control the L and R output levels? Thank you for any info you can offer me. I'm new. :)
