If you want to greatly increase your audio quality, turn off this feature immediately. You can always add it in post production.

Thanks for the tip. It seems that there are quite a number of great adjustments that need to be made straight out of the box from the factory. I saw one influencer claim that you can just turn on the camera for the first time and start shooting, which of course you can…but I chose to watch quite a few videos on YT about managing settings, making my changes as I went along. I’m glad I did…and I love how well this beautiful camera records!

Great tip, def gonna turn it off and give it low cut in post if needed. Thx :)

It seems many other low cut filters start at 50Hz, so if this one is at 100Hz I'm with you here for the DJIP3/Mic2. Cheers!

Most low cut filters in software and on microphone start at 80, or 100 since that's the most common low cut for a human voice.

Another video in the same day! Baller! Nice job! My friend just got this for filming content for his film lab and wow its perfect for quick shorts and even some longer form content. I am working on a video comparing B-Roll he did on his Sony A1 and then the Pocket 3. Pocket is so much better for people that aren't used to shooting with tradition camera setups and keeping it stable!. Great video I will have to share this with my buddy!

I've been out at a bunch of shoots recently using my FX3's like we always do. I've gotten some random shots here and there from the Osmo Pocket (when I needed something wide and stable). I've been able to color correct and grade the log footage from the Pocket into perfectly usable side by side clips. It's been awesome/ .

Low cut is a very important thing to use in post Production, but these types of cameras and cheap microphones don’t do a good job of doing it internally.

Would’ve been a better comparison if you were actually in an environment where the low cut would be useful

Hey Man! Love your content! As a fellow videographer, audio monitoring is key for me. I've been trying to connect my DJI Pocket 3 or DJI Mic 2 to my bone conduction headphones via Bluetooth while recording for wireless audio monitoring. I've asked around on RU-vid and the DJI forum but no luck so far. Any chance you could share a wireless solution? Thanks a bunch!...... really appreciate your help here...

If you recorded the audio internally using 32 bit float then you’re fine with the backup file.

hello I bought the mic 2 too but am confused. I see that you also play the guitar, so here I bought this microphone just to record a rock concert, to try, I plug in my stereo at home and I play music a little loudly to see the behavior the result is disastrous because when listening to the rendering, the sound is very low, so what I do is go up to 12 db on the transmitters and also on the receiver, so all the way up and there it goes a little better but not great. so have you tried recording when you play an instrument? could you help me? THANKS

The DJI Mic 2 is designed for talking, not recording a rock concert or music production. That’s just not its intended purpose.

What about the wind reduction? Should that remain off?

Nice! Have you tried recording the sound of a live band?
@scottmckenna

It would work fine for ambiance, but it's not necessarily designed for that type of recording. It's designed to have more of a lav mic use.
