John Bindon id love to hear more about his life . Perfect part for him . Eric paice was brilliant in Get Carter and other films iv seen jim in Obviously Michael Caine 1 of the best actors of my time and before . Definitely in my top 10 films. 🙏
Ian Hendry seemed very poorly when he was featured on This is Your Life as the clip clearly shows. I remember thinking he wasn't long for this world at the time.
He was a chronic alcoholic. He was on the sauce when they made, 'Get Carter.' They filmed his demise scene before they filmed the chase sequence. The director didn't think Ian would be fit enough to do the chase scene followed by the demise scene.
My mum’s cousin who shall not name get Carter was based on him. He had a brother as well they were brought up together in the war i’m not sure where it could’ve been Newbury or London her cousins are still alive as far as I know the character who was based on my mum‘s cousin lives in Spain I never met him ,
