Get Client IP Address & Detect VPN Connection/Bot Users With IPDetective Using HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL | Saving Client IP Addresses & Identifying Bot Users In JavaScript, PHP & MySQL

Website Concept :
- Every user/visitor that does a refresh on index page will be counted as a website visitor, and their IP Address Information will be stored into the database
- Website admin can see a list of users' IP address information on the data page
- There will be 3 pages in the website :
1. index.php (Main page of the website, which is the landing page when users visit the site. This page will retrieve information of visitor's IP address, then the obtained IP address information is sent as data in the POST request to the MySQL database)
2. data.php (Another page of the website, where the collected data of users' IP address information from database will be displayed in a table format on this page)
3. config.php (This page will establishes a connection from PHP to MySQL database)

IPDetective ( ipdetective.io ) is an API that focuses on bot and non-human IP detection to quickly identify if an IP address comes from a datacenter, VPN or proxy. You can signup to the free API by simply signing in to access your API key. IPDetective tracks over 1000 ASNs and detects over 250 million IP addresses as non-human users from +100 different origins, ranging from data centers, botnets, proxies and vpns.

Does this give the correct ip and location of your target? Can it be used on social media accounts? And this can determine the real ip of someone if they are using vpn?

Hi @Yungintrovert666, This method can give you the IP address and approximate location, but it may not be accurate if the user is using a VPN. It is not intended for use on social media accounts or to determine the real IP address of someone using a VPN. It's mainly for informational purposes. Hope that helps! 😊

Bang apakah IP address bisa dilacak lewat tautan, misalnya saya membagikan tautan ke seseorang yang ahli IT, dia bisa lacak IP address saya? Mohon jawabannya bang

Halo, sebelumnya makasih udah komen, kalau menurut saya bagi tautan gak akan bisa buat dia lacak ip address kamu, kecuali kalau kamu masuk ke tautan yang dia kirim (yang mungkin di tautan tersebut ada sistem detect ip address bagi siapa saja yang masuk ke tautan tersebut)

It does not work... It registers only the IP address of the device you use to run it.

Make sure your code correctly handles the X-Forwarded-For header to get the real IP address when a proxy or VPN is used. This can be more complex depending on your server configuration.
