I've been watching your channel since before Fletcher was born. I think that's correct! I'm 73 & have mobility issues. Following your channel is always fun and informative. Your family is so precious. You and Josh make a great parenting team. I also love the Honey I'm Homemaker podcasts. You & your cousin have such a bond. Even though I'm much older I do have grandsons who are 22 & 26. I do know that time goes by so incredibly fast with your children & grands. Please continue making memories with your children. You can never get that time with them back! Grammy from Texas
Never worry about sponsored videos! We don’t mind at all and love the product recommendations! So glad this channel can support your family. I would watch even if every video was sponsored ❤
Hey Meghan ! Something i have started doing with my 4 year old is setting a timer for uninterrupted one on one time JUST to focus on him for a half hour. I really try not to get up or do anything else, no phone near by just fully focused on playing whatever he wants. It is fantastic for bonding and connection and helping them to feel loved and special !! I think it's usually the simple things and quality time that means the most 🥰 you're such an amazing mom ! Good luck with the school year! You got this !
Megan, I'm enjoying the music you put in the video. The other RU-vidrs I watch use the same music so it's refreshing hearing some acoustic and more folky stuff 😊
Homeschooling mama here, were starting earlier than usual so im half excitement, half sad 😂 it feels like this summer absolutely flew by. Good luck to all of you on your upcoming year.
The Caboodle warms my early 90s GenX teenage heart. I was a singer and performer and you haaaaaaaad to have a caboodle for your make up and accessories. Love it!
Can't wait to finish this video Megan! Definitely think you just need to know your kid when it comes to school.I was home schooled until 9th grade then went to a public school for high school and I personally had a great experience!
I feel you Megan! Both my hubby and I are public school teachers, and we send our children to a private Christian school. If we could pull it off financially, I would love to homeschool. But because that's not possible, I'm thankful for the next best thing. We are in Canada, so have another 3 weeks left of summer. I am soaking up the last days of having our children home. To me, it's such a blessing to be home together. Thank you for another lovely video!
Tip with lunch boxes and backpacks, throw them in the wash. I am a student and work at a school. Washing my bags a couple times a month keeps them looking decent and cuts down on germs.
Megan, you're the Mom I want to be... I've been teaching kindergarten and first grade for more than 20 years, I pray and ask the LORD for a baby/family everyday. Bless you and your precious family 🙏❤️🙏
Very enjoyable. You are sending your children to a wonderful school. I am very familiar with it and it is excellent. You are making good choices mom. Relax. God is right there with you.
I feel the exact way about sending my 4 year old to school. My husband really wants our children to experience school the way we did but I feel unsure about it. We want so badly to send our daughter to the local Christian school because that’s what kind of school I went to and thrived in it, but unfortunately we just can’t afford it. But God will find a way to get us to where we’re supposed to go, that’s what I keep reminding myself. His will, will be done. Thank you so much for sharing your heart❤
It's that time of year again- back to school. My kids started school yesterday- a bittersweet day for us moms. Always looking for new ideas for the kiddos breakfasts to speed things up in the morning. I'm a fan of batch breakfast cooking- so we can grab and go and get out the door on time! Those oatmeal cups look AMAZING!
I used to take mine to the public library for story time. They always had a craft afterwards. Barnes and Noble always had a great story time with crafts and then ours had a Starbucks inside. All the kids from story time got a free cookie and a $1 chocolate milk.
Maybe take Fletcher for a train ride just the two of you. Lunch at McDonald’s or ride bikes together and have a picnic lunch just the two of you! To a kid it’s really just the special times together that makes them feel special ❤
Hi Megan. I always enjoy your videos. I’m a grandma to three littles and get so many ideas watching you. Cooking and all you do. I agree that your kids are well behaved and respectful. Blessing
I do not mind sponsored videos and I know they help you out a lot. I'll just skip ahead if its not something that applies to me. As a kid, back to school shopping was always the highlight of starting a new school year. Evonnie's dresses are sooo cute.
This brought back such sweet memories of our early school days. I have a junior in high school who also starts vo-tech school today & an 8th grader. Both girls are in band & the oldest does color guard, too & practice started this week, too. Lots of shuttling back & forth! Not so many school supplies to buy, but lots of other things to find & get ready-whew! It's bittersweet to be at this stage in back to school. Enjoy these early years-they fly by so quickly! I love watching you with your babies. You are so nurturing & loving! You're doing an awesome job! Sending blessings for a wonderful year!!!🙏🏼🥰📚✏️
I was the middle one and never had one on one time with my mom and dad singly or together. That would be special. Also if there is any construction going on around you. Take a picnic lunch and have them watch the men at work. My oldest son loved that. It would entertain him for a long time😊He also loved dumping stuff off at the city dump and he loved driving by the junked car lots😊
Hey Megan, I love how you touch on fits, yelling and opinions without words, though stay positive about it. You are positive about mother hood and children and that is so refreshing. Thanks for sharing your positivity . Parents (in Europe where I'm from and live) tends to be extremely anxious and negative when talking about their own children, others' as well. Much love from Lille :)
As I'm gearing to get ready for another year of homeschooling my 3 oldest, all gr.3 and down, I enjoyed seeing your video.... You are an inspiration to me especially when it comes to snacks and how easy it comes to you (at least that's what it seems). Makes me want to just relax😅.....and do all the fun things😉
My youngest is 18 and graduated. During different seasons of life my 4 did some combination of home, public, and private school. No method of education is perfect and each was a blessing to us in it's own way.
Ordered some immunity vitamins with your code!! Hahaha- yes, I am also reliving my childhood through my daughters. It’s the best and we are all having so much fun! Can’t wait to try the baked oatmeal, we use your old recipe from years ago but a new one will be fun to try.
So funny, I put this video while I was tackling my laundry room which has become my dumping room and thinking, "I bet Megan never had a need like this to go through 😂😂 I'm in my 50's and love all your videos. Thank you for taking the time to share as well as all the filming and editing that you have to do. 😊
Megan, have you considered doing both? Homeschooling is most important or beneficial when they’re young. They can always go to school when they’re older if they want. That’s what we’ve done with our kids.
I was a special needs bus driver I'm retired now but remember getting ready for a new school year also how excited my children would be for new clothes and school supplies have a blessed day❤😊
I don’t mind sponsorships , if I trust the RU-vidr , actually I’m glad to be introduced to products that work . Had to lol when Evonne sniffed the salad ❤I was the oldest too but how I wish I would have put more effort into the middle kids .
Your daughter is gorgeous, it’s fab that you are making a bond with her , things she will treasure , good work mum, as for your little men ,a true gift one blessed family 💝💝💙💙🙏
For Fletcher, how about organizing some themed projects/explorations where he can be actively involved and engaged? An example: a construction theme. Visit the library and gather some books on building, construction, and houses. Then gather up some large and small boxes and let Fletcher plan and create his own building in the garage? Another theme could be dinosaurs- enjoy books and learning about all of the various dinosaurs and then get “dirty” creating fossils using mud, plaster, and various found objects. Fletcher gets special attention from you, plus he’s learning and being actively involved in subjects that may appeal to him.
When my closet gets like that on occasion I call it my, “to be dealt with later” closet. You’re such a good mom and you’re doing a great job. I’m an adult and I had/have a wonderful mother. She spoiled me too and I turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. 😆 My mom hated when we returned to school. She would tell us she missed us so much and the house was too quiet. Another wonderful video. Thank you
I love Mary Ruth’s liquid vitamins for adults. I’m not big on taking pills so the liquid kind is perfect for me. Thanks for the discount code. I love seeing a new video come up and always want to watch it right away. Have a good evening. 😊
Enjoy those beautiful children! This brings back wonderful memories of our 3 kiddos. I fondly remember taking the 2-5 year olds to the weekly class at the library. It usually included a craft, then we would pick out books. Savor these days 😅
I hope you know not only do I (and probably others) not only don’t mind the sponsor shout out but appreciate them! I love seeing what others use and only buy if I’ve seen good reviews from someone I trust and I trust your opinion and morals to not sponsor something that isn’t quality!
I don't know what is in your area, but a trip to an indoor mall play area in the morning while all the big kids are at school would be fun for both boys. Also miniature golf may be fun since his dad is a golfer. How about riding the Strasburg train? Blessings, Janell
I LOVE those Magna Tiles! (But not the cost. Wow.) I'm such a dork that I didn't realize you could build 3D stuff with them. I thought they were just flat, like a puzzle. I would have been happy with that! Then I walked in to babysit the little boy I cared for, and there was a giant castle that he'd made! (With help from Mom.)
Don't worry! I went to a private Seven Day Advance school. I learn more in that school! Than I learned any where else. I wanted to send my son to a private school . I worry everyday for 12yrs. about him in public school. We made it by the grace of God. Your daughter will thank you the rest of her life ! For sending her to a good private school. The boys will do well. You are a good mother. They will learn from each other how to enjoy books, and all kinds of children games. God bless the whole family.
I watch you regularly and enjoy every episode! It doesn’t bother me that you have sponsors at all, except that one of your sponsors ( Harry’s Razors) is a company that doesn’t support your values as a Christian, in fact they hate what you stand for. I challenge you to do some research into the companies that you advertise for before you promote their product!
My goodness Megan, you certainly should NOT be applogizing for getting sponsorships from brands you love! I'm so happy for you and admire your work so much. Everyone deserves to get paid for their work. You are an amazing homemaker, mom, and doing RU-vid on top of that blows my mind. Lol! I honestly don't mind if every single thing I watch is sponsored, because content creators deserve to make an income!
I took my son to the fire station in our neighborhood when his big brother went off to school, he got to meet the firemen, see the equipment and we brought cookies for them❤❤❤
I’m a mom of 3, aged 12,8 and1. What I’ve learned so far is this: ln general it seems girls are talkers and boys are doers. My son is 12, but since he was a baby the thing that he loves most is when I will play with him. Step into his world and do it with him-blow bubbles, catch bugs, have a nerf battle, go to a petting zoo, play t-ball, squirt guns/wands, play basketball, etc. Oh yeah, and their favorite food is a way to their heart! Let them know that they bring you joy and you’re happy to be their mom.
Loved this video!! All the school supplies and dresses are adorable... I hope your daughter has a great start back to school and thanks for all the good ideas!
How you so candidly discuss your sponsorship situations - speaks so highly of you. Almost no YT’er does that. It’s just really nice to have that insight. Sponsorships don’t bother me at all but having that info in the back of mind actually makes me more prone to support you and use your codes. Honesty - it’s refreshing. ❤
For preschool (as a homeschooling mom) I did Rod and Staff A through K workbooks and Little Hands to Heaven from Heart of Dakota. I have also heard good things about My Father's World, Sonlight's Preschool curriculum and Stepping Stones from Masterbooks. I would do as many curriculums to get him ready for Kindergarten to make him feel special. My kids loved preschool and it certainly set them up for success. My kids are almost 7 and 8 but they are going into 5 th grade and I think because they had so much curriculum (they love to learn) they are gifted in the area of academics.
That is so great that you have the option to send your kid to a christian school! Were I live (country in northern Europe) there is a few christian school but not in that town where we live. And private schools are also unusual here (allthough there is few). Homeschooling is even rarer. But that is so true that we are the primary teachers and caregivers to our children even when they are in school! :)
for Evonne, have her be the teacher and you be the student and she can recreate what she learned.....they always feel so special having something to teach, news to share! it is also a clever way for you to see that she understands what she did learn! she can play school with Miller and Fletcher also
We would plan one thing a month that would be fun, Chuck e cheese, bounce houses, special park, etc. Don't forget you will be spending time teaching him too, that time is also special. You can maybe get some fun ABC stuff like stamps, playdoh letters or ABC hopscotch.
Such a sweet video Megan. Evonnie is such a beautiful little girl. She's growing up to fast. I pray she has a great school year. I pray safety and blessings over her. I pray her teachers and friends show a Godly example in all they do and that Evonnie will be a true friend and example to her little friends as well. In Jesus name we ask for these things. Amen. Love your sweet family.
This was a fun one! I think it was all the cute Evonnie things bringing me back to childhood too..I hear you! We are having our 1st baby boy in January so can't do the girlie things but we have lots of nieces...I'll be getting them caboodles now
