Don't ever get the one you want. If you do, you miss out on the guaranteed drop from a lost sector on the right day, and instead get the lowest possible stat total. Best to get it this way.
@@miles_0234 so apparently half of my comment didn't process, I also mentioned that you can get it really easily through this engram method since it's head armor the day after release. The lost sectors will most likely be powerful cap or higher so keeping some engrams will be the better choice instead of grabbing it from the Legend campaign.
I feel like the machine gun could be really meta for dps which I’m pretty excited about, just mowing down enemies and exploding them with volatile, you can improve it with gyrfalcons too
I’ve seen that this only works if you open the engrams on a day where the lost sector is dropping helmets. So if you try to open them on another day where the lost sector is dropping arms for example you’ll only get arms (bc bungie spaghetti code idk why) so just a heads up 👍
Yes you're 100% correct. It's coded as a lost sector engram so whatever day it is, it'll decode into that armor price of the day. Luckily it'll be Head armor the day after release
@@Umbra-oj2vkTheoretically, the rotation should not change Therefore, chest should be active on Day1 and helmet on Day2 The rotation is helmet, legs, arms, chest, repeat Now legs are active, so to Lightfall chest should be active As I said, unless the rotation restarts, then let's see what's active
You don't need a full inventory of exotic engrams, you just need it to be full of engrams in general doesn't matter what kind. It's not a waste of time as I did this when plunder came out and got gyrfalcons on the first day the lost sectors became chest. I doubt they'd change how they work
I've done this every season start since Splicer and it's worked every time. You just have to make sure you have all the old exotics and then only decrypt your exotic engrams on the specified day.
that's not how that works. You must complete the Lost Sector with full engrams, yes. The exotic then goes into the postmaster as an engram, yes. But it doesn't matter which sector you do for it, i.e. what is active at the moment And it depends on which exotic is active when you take the engram out of the postmaster. Means: You can always fill your postmaster with Lost Sector Exotics, e.g. today while Legs are active. You can't play tomorrow anyway, so you can open the engrams the day after tomorrow, that is for Day1 Lightfall Then chest armor should be in the rotation, so when you open that then you only get chests For the hunter Helmet you would need to open these engrams on day 2 of Lightfall unless Bungie restarts the LS rotation with Lightfall Here you go, don't waste your time by opening the engrams too early👍
They do this so you will play the other activities more to increase player engagement. In future seasons we won’t have to do lost sectors so stay patient.
The last exotic armor that dropped like this was in S11, since then the exotic armor has only been available from Lost Sectors since S12 on the first drop or Legendary campaign since S16
But what would be the point if you still need to complete the campaign to use the exotics? All the exotics we've seen so far are strand exotics and most people complete the legend campaign anyway.
@@realfake6669Blackburn mentioned in the LF reveal that the exotics earned from the legendary campaign will be high stat rolls, not the crappy 48 rolls.
he didn't say "before lightfall release" He said "early" And you can definitely finish the Lightfall Legendary campaign on day 1 and get the Exotic but you can probably do the Lost Sector late in day 1 or day 2 Because of the power grind However, if we get an Exotic armor chest on one of the chars, you can get it in the first minute, which is faster
