I am not very tech savvy and you totally broke this down that even I could understand it..I cannot say that I understand alot of different youtubers when it comes to understanding descriptions very well so thank you so much ..you made this easy even for me to finally understand because you did step by step instructions.
Thanks Jenny, I have watched many youtube videos but this is so simple and easy to understand. For the first time ever I am able to use canva for my Pinterest images 👍
Thank you very much for your honestly.I think this video is very important to me.Most of are distributed their knowledge for money but you have honestly heart. Again thank you.
Thank you. I wondered about pinterest, but haven't looked into.... and you have clarified my questions. I really appreciate your work, videos, and your willingness to help others. Your wreaths are gorgeous.
Saw a video pin of yours on Pinterest today and you put a direct link to your Etsy product. For the life of me, I can not figure it out. I think we need an updated video on Pinterest and creating Idea Pins. 🙃😊
Yes this video is a little outdated now, unfortunately. Idea pins used to be called story pins, but you can only pin from a product catalog. So I add a link sticker that links directly to a listing.
Just subscribed! Your videos are so very helpful! I opened my Etsy store a few days ago! Thank you Jenny for the awesome content! And your wreaths are so beautiful! 💕
This was so informative! I am so glad you take the time to make these videos. It would take me forever to figure this stuff out on my own LOL...Thank you soooooo much!!
Instead of creating a business Pinterest account from your existing personal account, you can now create add and create a separate business account. You can seamlessly go between the 2 accounts without making all of your personal boards private. You will need to use a separate email, I believe.
Christine Ann Tedone Thanks so much, Jenny. I just converted my Pinterest account into a business account for my Etsy Shop. I hope I did it correctly. I also Followed You on Pinterest. I love your informative and DIY Tutorial videos on You Tube. I absolutely adore your gorgeous wreaths. You are very creative and talented. You are such an inspiration! Thanks so very much, for all that you do. 1 second ago
I loved this video and would really like to see more like this. I'm trying to learn all this and get my business up and running. Thank you so much for your help!
So glad this was helpful! And I don’t do it perfectly at all. Maybe try scheduling one for each day of the week, and then adding more if you have time. 5 is ideal, but every little bit helps 😊
Thank you for the most informative video I have ever seen regarding Pinterest. I just have one small question that is how to repins our pins into different group boards? can you explain this part? or make a small video tutorial for it? Thank you again!
Thank you so much for this video! So many of the others I've looked at have talked about the general principles of using Pinterest but without any kind of walkthrough, or they talk about Tailwind or direct you to the course they've made... This was clear, informative and so so helpful for me as I start out with Etsy and Pinterest! You have a new subscriber! Rxxx
Great video! I love how you break it down and explain, rather than just saying to use Pinterest!! Question: Do you pay for your website? What did you use to make your website? Your website looks beautiful and I love how it links you right to your Etsy shop!!
So glad this was helpful! Some things have changed since I made this, but the overall concept is the same! I do pay for my website (it’s pretty spendy because it also hosts my VIP group, VIP community, and does my email marketing, etc.). Before that I used a simple GoDaddy website that looked really nice.
Hey Jenny! As always, thank you SO much for sharing! This is SO helpful! Quick question about other tips/videos: do you by chance have any advice (either a video that touches on this or maybe an idea for a new video topic!) in regard to growing a following on Instagram? Or do you think that's not so important? Always open to your help and advice and thank you SO much for sharing and helping SO many people! Hugs!
Hey Clare! I do think Instagram is important, especially for a business that sells something beautiful and visual, like wreaths. I think having an engaged audience is more important than a high follower count, providing great content, showing up in stories everyday, and being yourself. I would not be a great resource for growing a following because mine isn’t very big. However I love connecting with people there, and it is a great help when launching new products.
@@JennysWreathBoutique thanks Jenny! I appreciate your input! I am swimming in questions. I have SO many all the time! You have been a fantastic resource for so many people. Thank you so much! How many questions is too many? 🤣 Also, in my eyes, you have a strong following! 👏👏👏. Thank you always!
Hi Jenny! Your videos are the MOST helpful videos for me - I like your style of explaining things, plus you add the extra details I want for efficiency and convenience. Question - I set up my business account and claimed my Etsy shop in my Pinterest settings, but my pins are still not showing up as rich pins with the price and whatnot automated for me. Any ideas? Please and thank you, in advance!
Thanks so much! As for your question, I’m not sure. When I claimed mine, I used my website, and I had to enter some code that Pinterest gave me. I think mine only show the price when I pin straight from Etsy. Sorry I’m not a bigger help here!
thank u, Jenny. Although my English is a little rusty, but I watched your entire video and you did a great job. Question - Etsy Affiliate ToS says social sharing sites are prohibited from participating in the Affiliates,so I should pin the blog link or affiliate links?
Great tips Jenny--Question re using Etsy listing for pinterest. On the one hand, I know it's better to pin from Etsy to get the rich pin advantages--but you also want to have a specific format and look for the pin so it looks good on pinterest. So how to you reconcile the two? If you use Canva, it's no longer a rich pin?
When I would pin something from my website (like a blog featuring my wreaths) I could do rich pins because my website was connected to Pinterest. But since I’m pinning to en Etsy address and not my own website, they’re not rich pins. I don’t know if that makes sense. I’m definitely not a Pinterest expert. But I like to pin straight from Etsy ALWAYS just because it’s so quick and easy, and then make my own pins as well.
Great video, the only concern I have when pinning directly from Etsy, Pinterest pins and etsy listing ratios are different and not sure if this route is still effective?
Pinning straight from Etsy definitely isn’t as effective as making your own pins and idea pins, but it’s so quick and easy, I still think it’s worth it to do it.
@@JennysWreathBoutique Agree, thank you :) I'm thinking there might be a better way to size etsy listings so it's more compatible with pinterest? Like maybe 2000x3000 sizing? I'm gonna test a few things.
@Jenny great video and thank you! I’m new to Pinterest and curious, when I make a board should I be adding just my content to it or should I be looking for other cool products to add. It’s counterintuitive to me to add competing products to my board. Thanks to helping clarify
I do about 80% of my own original pins, and then about 20% others. When I look for other pins I’m trying to think of what my ideal customer would like, or something that adds to the overall aesthetic of the board.
I just watched your video for second time! I thought I set up a link to my Etsy shop to my Pinterest Etsy board…. But guess I didn’t! Should I delete my Etsy board on Pinterest and start over? When linking the Etsy shop do you have to use www. Thanks so much!
Wow I am just pinning directly from my Etsy page and the pins don't even show on my analitycs! Is it because I should create the pin myself?? Amazing video btw thank you!
I wasn't able to save any images from my etsy store unless I had the pinterest add on for firefox. I tried using the etsy app as well and didn't see that little icon. were you using the origional etsy ap or the 'sell it on etsy' app??
This was so helpful thanks so so much! Do I need to use my computer instead of my phone to pin my posts to boards or do I just create them on my own page? The boards you showed are they all your own or do I need to pin to other people’s boards?
You can just creat them on your phone on your own page. All the boards I showed are my own. There are group boards you can pin to, but I don’t do that. I keep it very simple.
@@JennysWreathBoutique oh wow thank you so much for your super fast response I really appreciate it and I’m so glad I found your channel! Best descriptive and helpful videos I’ve ever seen! You actually helped me launch my Pinterest today after contemplating it for ages. Thanks again lovely! 💖💖
I’m so sorry if this was confusing. I did everything from my phone and did a screen recording so you could watch along. Feel free to ask for clarification on anything. Sometimes it just takes some playing around on your phone to figure things out.
You can have up to twenty, but you definitely don’t need to use that many. Just use relevant ones only, however many that ends up being. Too many can look spammy though. I don’t think the quantity matters that much though.
It really depends on the listing. Putting more money behind a listing that doesn’t convert well will just be throwing money away. But putting more money behind a listing that does convert well is probably a good investment. Hope that helps!
It’s way easier to have them purchase from Etsy. Set up is simple, plus, whatever traffic I drive to Etsy, helps give my shop momentum and my listings rank higher on Etsy, meaning I make more sales from Etsy’s traffic. I hope that makes sense. I used to have a little blog on my website too, and I would do wreath round ups and things like that, and post those on Pinterest. Those would lead people to my website, and then the wreaths were linked to my Etsy shop. It’s just simpler that way for me. I hope that makes sense!
Jenny, I did everything you said to do to list my items on Pinterest, but I was charged $59 for "Pinterest Ads" and I am not sure why. Any thoughts as to what I did wrong?
Um...that’s very weird. I have never used Pinterest ads. What do you mean by “list” your items on Pinterest? Maybe that’s what went wrong? I never “list” anything there, but only “pin”. I think asking for a payment is definitely a red flag. I hope you didn’t give them your payment info 😬
I registered as a business account and part of that was giving them a credit card #. Maybe that is the difference. I thought that I was pinning but, I guess I was listing as an ad. I will see if I can dispute the charge. I have enough expenses with my shop. Thank you for getting back to me.
Just a heads up. Be careful with Pinterest this is to your followers. I found that an ad is different then a pin....my ignorance, I admit. Their ad campaigns, I think are very expensive, so be very careful when you setup that business account that you don't get caught up in their ad campaigns. I am going to watch your video again and see what I did wrong. I do love your videos
By batch working I mean doing a bunch of one thing at once, in one time chunk. For example, making a week’s worth of pin pics at one time, and then pinning and scheduling them in another chunk of time. I hope that makes sense!
Jenny if I do five pinterests posts a day, I'm guessing you are posting different pix of the same wreaths to hit that number right? This was so helpful. Thank you!
Not necessarily. You can build up your library of pics to pin, and I like to rotate among them. Like I said though, I’m definitely not perfect at this. If 5 is too much every day, try starting with one original pin a day and maybe just re-pin the other 4. I so glad this was helpful!
@@JennysWreathBoutique Jenny, I’ve watched so many videos on this and yours is by far the best but I’m having a hard time understanding a few things. So it’s perfectly ok to have different images linked to the same Esty listing? And do you always have to repin them to separate boards, or can you eventually repin the same pin to the same board a few weeks/months down the road? I feel like I’d have 50+ boards if I have to repin the same pin to a different board. Or is it better to have different images (linked to the same listing) and that way you CAN pin them all on the same board? Thank you!
I don't understand one thing, how can I make as many as 5 pins a day if I don't have so many products? If I do 5 pins a day I will run out of pictures in max a month. Otherwise I would have to pin the same object just in a slightly different set up, but should I do it tho? I heard some people pin over 10 pins a day, but how is it possible if you don't have hundereds of products yet?
@@JennysWreathBoutique oh I see, thank you for responding, I'm new to pintetest and couldn't figure out whats up to date and what's not. That's very helpful ❤️
Jenny thanks for the useful video however, I don't see your replies to people who ask you questions, they can save us more time instead of asking the same questions, your replies are hidden don't know why, may be that is my PC ?
@@JennysWreathBoutique Oh, thank you! And Thank You for your quick response!!! And we LOVE your videos! (btw I meant 3700, not 37,000!) And, we've been trying to figure out how to create a board in our business account. We can do it in personal by clicking the +, but there's no way to do it with our business account.
So what if you already have a business account for affiliate marketing? For a travel niche? Would I just have to create a new account I have 2k followers and millions of views per month I don’t want to make a new page lol. Also my username has “Travel” in it and I’m not sure if I can change the username. Lol might as well make a new account 😒
Glad you liked the info! I’m looking at my phone because I’m literally showing you exactly what I’m doing as I’m talking. I can’t do those things on my phone without looking at it. I thought it would be a fun way to mix it up from my normal videos. I shared the screen of my phone so you can see exactly what I’m doing when I’m talking and walking you through step by step. When I’m not actively doing something on the phone, I’m looking at you though 😄. I’m sorry you thought that was off putting 😢.
Yes! Canva is free, and everything I did in this video was using the free version. You can upgrade to the paid option too, but the free version is still amazing. And of course Pinterest is free, unless you want to do paid ads. But everything I share in this video is completely free 😊
Jenny, Maybe you answered this already! Great video on Pinterest btw! Did you use Instagram before for personal use? Would you make a business Instagram profile? I don’t think you can hide things like on Pinterest.
I just watched your video for second time! I thought I set up a link to my Etsy shop to my Pinterest Etsy board…. But guess I didn’t! Should I delete my Etsy board on Pinterest and start over? When linking the Etsy shop do you have to use www.?
