"The two earliest characters you can recruit-" You forgot Levi. He's probably the second easiest to recruit, since you have many ways of reaching Prehevil safely whilst the enemies in the deeper woods can ruin you in the early game. That being said, O'saa is still relatively easy to recruit, and a great addition to your team.

My playthrough changed TERRIBLY when I decided to go to the tunnel first thing in the morning and get Abella. I got carried by her for the next of the game. In fact I dread my Abella build because I won't be able to recruit Abella

For marina i recommend sylvian just because you can get gorogroth affinity easy by killing samarie first day and getting blood sacrifice

What I personally like to do with Karin after killing the first 4 contestants is either try my luck for the GOFAH Skin Bible in the Mayor's Manor, or purchase it from Pocketcat with the guaranteed heads, this with engrave and the +1 Agility from Tanaka's soul means you can get 16 Agility very early without needing to use any additional item slots.

I was just finishing my "Kill absolutely everything as Olivia" run and I'm ever so grateful that I went with magic for her build Although having red arc might have been a bit too strong

i personally love playing daan, analyze is the only skill ive ever needed in my playthroughs. plus i just love how tragic of a character he is. also something that happened the other day that i didnt think i could do, i beat the heartless one without any arms and just used ornament lanterns to burn her alive. i have a newfound respect for those things now

Diplomacy also gives you a free turn against Bellends, the most annoying late game enemy who spawn EVERYWHERE on masochist mode.

how the hell did i not think of going gro goroth affinity with marina I always went with vinushka because I always found his affinity to be the hardest to get and that tree has good skills. amazing video will try these starts out

I followed this guide to play as Abella, but on the train's suitcases I found a H.Needle and a soulstone, giving me exactly what I needed and letting me start doing whatever I wanted.

That Karin strat really is something. I love the diplomacy skill with her because not only can you kill the bobbies easily like you showed, but you can distract a lot of people sometimes and make them skip a turn. Or, anger them so they lower their guard. Sometimes they get an increase in attack, but also lowers defense. And the lore behind talking to people is cool too.

Marcoh is infinitely better with getting the agility bonus over max stamina. because at 16 agility you can attack twice per turn.

My fav character is gotta be Dann. I love that he can heal right off the bat

Dear GOD they go overboard with trying to recruit Osaa compared to Abella! Abella: "Open this single door/hatch. Yay!" O'saa: "Master Quantum freaking physics while reciting the pledge of allegiance in 28 different languages while performing open heart surgery all at the same time!!!!"

Getting Black Kalev early game is just so good for killing Needles early game because he just goes straight for the head, and insta kills him (he somehow did it in two different runs in a row) Also, it's so hard to get affiliation to three with Grogo if you choose Ossa, and if you want to, for example, not sacrifice any characters and want to use some different sigils, it is impossible to get Black Orb on Day2, so I would say that it is better to choose Grogo affiliation instead of Meditation, since you can get Meditation easily by killing every enemy in the early game and have some left over Soul stones

Hey on the karin guide, please include the actual dialogue you choose when you persuade as if you guess wrong, it's a reset.

Great video will definitely try it with some of the characters. favorite character, marcoh and I think I'll stick with my build for him 😉 Foot work, +2 agility Bob and weave Counter stance Fist efficiency, +accuracy Avoid armor that reduce agility. Equip: leechmonge ring, small things amulet (+5 agility, extra turns during battles) and eye glasses or heardened heart (expensive) use pinecone with an alley to help get some of these items. I keep Marcoh unarmed since his fist is good enough.

i like magic people in games, stated as ossa and spice forge with blood golem and double smog carried hard, sometime insta smog with low cost black orb or double roots that reap did the trick hard, fun stuff!

I started the game a couple of months ago, with O'saa, never got past the city so this is a lifesaver (cuz after that, never played again, but i thini ill pick up the game after this)

I get Rher affinity with Marina because Grogoroth and sylvian only takes 1 ritual circle to max out and you only need second level affinity with vinushka for combustion

7:58 Actually I know of a decent way of min maxing god affinity. It involves Samarie’s blood sacrifice and that other “skill” she has. It’s worth noting: -There’s only 4 old god sigils that aren’t already taken of which you can draw on. -With Samarie’s skills you can gain +1 affinity with grogoroth and silvian. -There’s a pre-drawn circle for both grogoroth and silvian in the orphanage. So to max Silvian’s affinity, you just need to draw one sigil for 1 affinity, then have “playtime” on one of these sigils for 1 more affinity. 2 in total. For Grogoroth, simply use blood sacrifice 3 times on the orphanage sigil for 3 affinity. Remember to heal at least around 50 body in between. From there you have 3 empty old god sigils to use for Rher and/or Vinushka. Though it will take a long time to reach the orphanage, so it may be worth just getting affinity how you normally would. That being said, if you wanted to use this min max strategy, pick either Vinushka or Rher for marina’s backstory option. With this strat, marina can then get all 4 old god affinities maxed out.

You are also guaranteed to find Osaa at the church confessional and you can attack him there to unlock spice forge

Im going to advocate for the iron spear for osaa, because yes the officer sword is one handed so it gives more insurance incase you lose a limb, but lets be real the sword is worse than the Kaasara you can get at the beginning of the game and you can easily get that with the iron spear. Also pierce damage is the best damage type in the game if you disregard otherworldly and fire damage.

Concentrated on black smog, blood golem and pheromones with marina. Pretty much made me unkillable

a quick thing mauthe didnt go over if you want to fight osaa as early as possible but cannot access the bunker he is in i reccomend going to the church to get a +1 with allmer in the confessional in the right side of the church and then you can fight him there

I got ending B with O’saa before watching this. I basically did the Karin method and killed the contestants at any opportunity I had, save for Daan who I allowed to moonscorch into Pocketcat so I can spend some last minute heads before going to the tower. I don’t 100% remember what I started O’saa with, but I know I definitely started with Danse Macabre, officer sword, and +25 body. I spent a couple of asymmetric circles for Gro-Goroth so I can get necromancy and blood golem, except for one time when I lost both my arms fighting the decrepit priest in the manor and drew one for Sylvian, which did give me the helpful pheromones skill. Diplomacy and persuasion was especially helpful because of the bobbies and lowering the other contestants guards down at the start of battle. Of course for the perfection circles I used blood portals the moment I got the skin bible for Alll-mer for fast traveling. Once I got enough soul shards to make soul stones to learn spice forge, a majority of heads from the slums, combined with the skills first blood golem, double black smog, and greater pheromones, I was able to stand up against even the much harder and stronger enemies in the game, like crimson fathers and death masks. I still lost a ton of progress to land mines though.

This hidden tech like Karin could make a very good and long fear and hunger 2 essay.. but it need to be their characteristic so I don't really know.

fun fact: Meditation is bugged it is supposed to give you 1 rev point per turn but it gives 2. so you need 1 guard+ to have a full rev up

My first maso win was Abella. The start was completely miserable, and I think she's one of the easier characters

Unless this game gets on consoles or I get a PC I’ll take your word for it that Heroin indeed gives you a poison debuff. Its like irl except instead of necromancy you got a junkie telling you about George his pet monkey he got from a genie.

Rher is mainly good for the golden gates' skills, which alllws you to skip hard parts of the game

And if I don't does it make my Easy-er Mode gameplay more difficult? What if I recruit him instead with Marina as the main?

Playing as Karin and I looted while going to the next zone and found 2 light blue vials and a regular blue vial and got blinded on my first turn fighting Marina xd

With Blood Sacrifice and access to the orphanage, you can max out Gro goroth affinity without even using up a single ritual circle. So picking his affinity during character background is unnecessary.

and how i get soul stones to get the weaponcraft skill?

I just wish I coukd get the meat grinder with Marcoh withiut having to kill any contestants cuz I kobe all of them and I dont want to hurt them...(except before they get moonscorched ofcourse)

Marcoh is easily the most overpowered EARLY GAME since he can easily achieve the Meat Grinder so I'll try and use him next time I play (masturbation is the best skill)

Damn I've played ~100 hours of termina and did not know you could just shoot the chains off the city gate with the trench gun. I wonder... if you shoot off the chains early with Levi then go complete Tunnel 7, does Pav still ask you about getting the keys to open the gate? XD

Would it be OP if executioner just uses 1 less shell to kill instead of double tap? I mean it's balanced to skip fights with 2 shells which limits how strong it is but some enemies need more shells in order to kill them. Not having to just stun them with 1 shell and a 2nd to kill but if they may still need a third or fourth shot. Just having 1 less will make it very strong and competitive to gunslinger and marksman but even later on with more enemies that can't be killed with just two shots, it's not useless but it's definitely not as strong early game.

The greatest thing about RPGs is finding that one thing the developer(s) failed to account for and abusing the hell out of it.
