Micah Peasley gave a memorable interview on FOX 11 that went viral way before going viral was even a thing, back in 2002. More to this story here: www.foxla.com/n...
bruh Louis are you that stupid. Of course thats his voice, what he was changing was his behavior and story - i mean regardless, he still exaggerated on his voice.
@@icanduo I mean he's able to make a living doing something he loves (it seems), which is promoted by a 20 second interview he did 19 years ago... Doing it better than most.
@@jaybeezi Oh I totally agree. I thought it was funny that his wife had to make that statement lol. I'm not putting those couple down or anything like that.
Honestly his interview was refreshing. He was like a little kid just being themselves, honest and passionate. Talking like that doesn’t mean you’re stupid, it means you’re having a lot of fun surfing.
but I totally get it I mean just listen to any skater gossip about how perfectly a hardflip was cought and how bolts someone landed and you start understanding the mind of “surferdude” hahahahaha
@@soulwaves20000 what place would you recommend a first-time surfer? Ive been curious for a while, i’m def an adrenaline junkie, and i’ve been wantingf to do it for a while
@@TheFinalGate_ dépends where you live, there are surf schools and beginner spots everywhere. Just take lessons the first week. Then you can rent a smaller board until you decide to buy one. Good luck and enjoy 😊
No he wasn't. He's acting like a stereotypical surfer for the media. Surfers don't actually talk like that. If you pay attention the waves behind him suck. He saw a movie one time where some idiot talked like this and he's imitating it
@@denovalxve6404 it's actually a very common stereotype from fast times at ridgemont high for starters. Let's see there's also point break. If you listen to what he's saying he's also absolutely full of shit he's talking about surfing and getting barreled when the waves behind.him are total blown out shit. He's acting for the camera and it's annoying and innacurate if you're a real surfer
@@EdwardTCat trying it once ain't going to get it done though ..... you won't be able to even paddle properly after your first 6 to 12 months of regular surfing.. Surfing, to the level that you can get "soooo pitted" and "smack the lip - waapah" is one of the hardest things you can do... It literally takes years, surfing 2 or 3 hrs nearly ever day, to reach that level .. You also have to "pay your dues" along the way, with a lot of beatings, hold-downs, stitches from cuts, and what feels like near death experiences in the process ... This is one of the reasons it creates that level of shear excitement, thrill and "stoke" that it does when the waves are good and you're tuned in ... Don't get me wrong, there are levels to this thing, with excitement and stoke to be had at many different milestones e.g. 1st stand up on white water , stand up on green water , do a turn , do a top turn, race down the line, duck dive etc etc - but the "it's better than sex" level takes a lot of time and dedication to reach !!
Got to give him some slack, could tell in the original video he was cold. I surf in the cold and it really makes your jaw and tongue limp so you talk like a stoner.
Yeah I agree....i scuba dive those waters, even during the hottest day of the month, when you exit the ocean your frick'n freezing, your whole body shakes...yeah,..narley dude.
I smoked everyday for about 10 years straight and I never spoke that way, yet after about 2 weeks of my friend smoking, he did. it's just a mindset and stereotype.
I dunno man, spending hours out in the sun running a surf school ages you fast. I dabbled in it, and got out quick. And nope, you aren't "enjoying being in the surf" when teaching, you're working hard messing about in shitty tiny waves that you'd never bother surfing in your own time. There's also not a lot of money in it, but I guess that's relative. It is fun when young and single though, there's something weird about girls being attracted to instructors of pretty much anything, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.
@@dadthelad Yeah that dude has got mad wrinkles for only being 35, he looks at least 10 years older than that. Gotta wear that sunscreen, it will fuck your skin up.
I feel like this guy did a character and now has been so deep in the barrel with the character that he cant stop. His life got pitted in this character
I don't think he's being laughed at, he's amusing sure, but as he said, he exaggerated everything deliberately. He perfectly embodies the super chill, high-even-if-they're-not-high Californian surfer dude. Glad he and the wife are able to capitalise on his recognition. He's the surfer version of the Dude (Big Lebowski), only fools laugh at the Dude, everyone else just abides.
@@mizzury54 He is ashamed because he is pretending he made it up. He should have just owned it, even if he just said, yeah I was pretty young and our crew talked like that, it was fun times, and I can't believe that interview went so viral.
It is fake. Hes surfing in huntington beach which is a shitty wave like 90% of the time. The part hes faking is his actual surfing ability. Hes basically describing what a really good surfer would do with a really good wave. Neither of which is him and the wave he was riding
@Chad Kensington im from huntington Beach. Its fine that he just talks like a dipshit and got internet famous for it. But what hes saying is absolute fucking nonsense. It would be like telling someone you slayed a dragon while standing in front of a dead cat. The waves behind him are clearly shitty and hes talking like someone who was riding a huge wave like a pro. I cant even watch it without wanting to punch his nose
Matt Cunningham Nah bro. I live like 15 minutes from Huntington Beach and there are decent waves. On Tuesday, (2 days from now) the waves are expected to be over 8 feet.
Samantha Bahadoor maybe because he got made fun of it by a few ppl after it went viral and looking back at it 18 years later he prob doesn’t smoke so much or take lsd like he was obviously on in the first video. Notice how his wife compliments that he’s “intelligent” and “an actual good teacher” which implys that he was prob butthurt about the whole thing because he sounds so stupid like a huge hippie
How was your kids birth? Well she was like garhhhhhh And I was Like wahhhh rawww And she went Ahhhhhhh Then sploosh and splahhh And wahhh wahhh wahhh Then we were Like awwwww
Guess this showed up on my feed because I watch the vine clip so much even now? I hope he isn't embarrassed - he's one of my favorite dudes because he's just so genuinely pumped and excited in that clip, you cannot help but smile and feel better about your own life. He's gold!
"its almost like like actually can be reaching the point of no return so deep in the barrel that you're not making it out but it is so agressive and large and chaotic and crazy its like you're in the beast of a monster in his belly just getting digested *grrr* ground up" Sounds incredibly intelligent.
C’mon dude, you were NOT faking that interview. He’s a total airhead surfer, you can tell. But seems like a super nice guy who is doing well! Good for him
@@grumpy8133 IMHO IDK not a 10 🙃 it's OC/LA plenty of💲, grass & 🐎 Her dress is cute. Normally horizontal stripes make you look too wide. That dress works on her well though. Honestly, she was probably much prettier without makeup and before she was hollywoodized. 😊 She was probably a 10 before she conformed to the LA mold for cheek bones, lips, hair, and chest. Cosmetics/medical aesthetics/flashy image are really popular in oc/la so everyone looks the same out here.
It's more likely that he genuinely was feeling quite stoked, and just used some slang him and his buddies use to make it more legit. Hardly acting, more like embellishment.
bless this man and his family he has a pure heart & was jist excited and passionate about surfing nothing is wrong w his first interview hes funny and natural jjst goofy and fun loving he is awesome i hope he is never embarrassed he is so funny and entertaining
LEGEND😁 In that moment of the original interview, he was AMAZING. He was so happy to be there and described it as he saw it, and by what he was feeling. Its a shame that people made fun of him, because that is pure joy actually looks and sounds like.
@@Ty-Mirrors Honestly, the reporter was probably much prettier without makeup and before she was hollywoodized. Medical aesthetics/flashy image are really popular in oc/la so everyone looks the same out here.
@northockook The reporter is pretty all dolled up, she looks done up pretty significantly. The wife is pretty even when not dolled up, she is more natural looking for sure. Wife: Natural beauty & physique VS Reporter: tv/ig beauty & proportions The wife and surfer dude are both cute for sure. They are a really cute couple. I'm sure their kid will be stunning as a young adult.
The guy’s still in superb shape, has a banger of a wife and a cute kid, runs a successful business doing what he loves and clearly got the hot blonde reporter smitten in full view. He was winning back then, and he clearly is now.
He wasn't faking it, the poor guys embarrassed, but he slayed he should be proud that he brought so much enjoyment to people, especially people who needed it, plus he's an Internet legend, be proud
2002: he went viral before viral was a thing! 2018: So apparently it wasn’t viral. The red algae caused a bacterial infection to my brain. It was a serious, life-threatening medical condition, and I would appreciate if you treated it seriously.
Mean while he's in incredible shape and grown up. If anyone would have interviewed me on some random day at that age I shiver to think what I may have said.
