Miss Debra, it is my distinct pleasure to meet you! I just found your channel today - RU-vid must have known I needed something special 😉 - and you have reignited a fire within me. Due to some health problems the past three years, my love of fashion has been practically non-existent. TBH, I couldn’t even tell you the last time I wore makeup. Then I came across your channel and wondered what your viewpoint/mantra was toward fashion. I started watching the video and right off the bat admired your look, knowing that I would be happy to wear any and all of the pieces. Then you gave us the mini runway of holiday party looks. I actually GASPED when I saw those amazing pants and belt! Don’t get me wrong, the cropped jacket was adorable and definitely added to the ensemble that stole my heart. Each subsequent look I loved - and would honestly wear each and every piece (we definitely have the same fashion sensibilities), but my heart still belonged to the original tuxedo outfit. Until the shirt dress. OH WOW!!! Hubby and I have been talking about renewing our vows next August (it will be our 40th anniversary), and I couldn’t find a dress that I could picture me in until I saw that finale dress. You bought my wedding renewal gown! LOL 😅 As you mentioned, a shirt dress is good on any body type, but - all kidding aside - that really DOES look spectacular on you (and $700 was a steal for that gorgeous garment!!) That last dress tho, gives me 50's, entertaining at home vibes and I'm here for it. I usually tell my Kids what I might want for Christmas but not often, my daughter is creative in her gift giving, my son, I have to tell him what I want along with a picture. This year I picked my sewing up again so asked for sewing supplies, the Daughter got me what I asked for but she said since I knew what she was giving me threw in some extra things. One thing she FORCED ME to put on was the 'Bunny Suit' from our favorite movie, A CHRISTMAS STORY... I accommodated her and wore it proudly. 16:45-16:48:Yes! That is my philosophy with clothing. Before the pandemic, I bought two dresses that sat, tags on until this year. At that time, I needed three dresses and fortunately had two ready. This year, I bought Banana Republic’s Alina Sequin Maxi skirt in gold. Lovely, but nowhere to wear it…YET. I just wanted it in the collection😅
Trust me that gold sequin skirt is gonna come in handy one day and you’re going to be so happy you have it. If we stay ready we don’t have to get ready!
