GET READY TO TEACH SPED WITH ME! classroom set up series 

I am so happy to see this excitement for sped. As a fellow sped teachers it can be exicting for sure. Just prepare yourself for the possibility that most of the time you may not have times for all the fun crafts, especially if things change with a paras. I was supposed to have one my first year then ended up not which didn't leave much time for fun enrichment.Lots of goals, and focused interventions using in resource small group rooms. It is great,but the world of sped means sometimes we don't get what we were promised. I look forward to following your journey❤🎉

Great creations! I need to learn how to create more resources on my own...I caught myself prepping some progress monitoring & caseload management documents Monday😂 I couldn’t help myself! I was a SPED Para and I’m now going into my 1st year….I’m used to working with the littles(k-2) but I’m assigned to 3-5 for next school year….I need all the help I can get!

Great resources and video. It's always a good idea to plan ahead and then it gives you more peace of mind in the crazy first days of school. I'm trying to do the same before school starts but also taking many breaks and relaxing.

I feel validated. I will be teaching first grade this year. We begin the 2023-2024 school year August 3, 2023, and I have been prepping since I learned I was moving from second grade to first. just came across your video so excited for you in. This will be my first year as an inclusion/ resource teacher for special education so I am pretty excited.

It sounds like you and i are going into next school year in the same place. I was a preschool teacher for 20 years but this coming school year will be my first year with public school and i will be a lower elementary SPED resource teacher. Please keep sharing!

It might be easier if you separate things into the skill categories instead of having it one big binder. You might find your kids need weeks of practice on their rhyming or AN family words and it’s helpful to have the same skill in an easy to grab spot where you practice the skill over and over but with different materials :)

Reading specialist here in your CVC word page with the pictures and they have to draw the line from the picture to the word, you have the word ant..which wouldnt that be vcc? And then with the word cow, how would they blend that if "ow" is vowel team there? Just wondering how those would tie in to the skills that are on the other pages!
