I believe they are referencing (2001's) Princess Diaries. They take a frizzy haired, glasses Anne Hathaway and turn her into a princess (like she looks in this interview).

The Brady's original home abode. Fans of The Bay City Rollers. Where Anne, I see now, looks like Ringo Starr. Characters are flawed and not some ethnicity.
