OH, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR INSTRUCTION VIDEO ON THIS HAIR COLOR. I'M A 79 YEAR OLD CAUCASION LADY AND HAVEN'T USED PERMANENT HAIR COLOR NOW FOR MANY YEARS. HAVE USED THE REGULAR CLAIROL TEMPORARY COLOR. NOW THAT I'M ALL GRAY, I WANT TO TRY THE ADVANCED SOLUTIONS. ALSO WANT TO TRY THE ALGAE RENEW CAMILLA ROSE HAIR CONDITIONER YOU MENTIONED. WE HAVE A SALLY BEAUTY STORE WHERE I LIVE, SO I'M CALLING THEM RIGHT AWAY TO SEE IF THEY HAVE THESE PRODUCTS. THANKS, AND GOD BLESS! KALISPELL, MT. 2/12/22
Thanku fir this video, when I was a teenager I use to dye my hair Ms Cairol I trusted. Now I'm over 60 I just got some greys around my hair line! That's why I chose thumbs up. Thanks again. ✨👍
Thank you for sharing this. Was looking everywhere to buy in UK London. Finally found it at a place called Vitchair in the UK which sells the clairol beautiful collections range for the UK sisters x 🇬🇧Hope this helps as the product is wonderful
Glad I came across this vid, I just purchased this product and was searching online hoping I found someone who explained the process step by step. I've nvr colored my hair b4 but I was wondering about the scalp/forehead getting stained, should I put a protectant along hairline, vaseline maybe? And is it a good idea to do a strand test before using? Appreciate any advice...Thanks
Test it on your forearm to make sure u r not allergic. Leave it on at least 15-20 min. Yes you can use Vaseline to protect your forehead and ears. U can also do a strand test after you test to make sure u r not allergic to c if it a good color match for you, I recommend in the back at the nape of the neck in case u don’t like it, it’s covered by other hair. Thanks for watching... Happy Holidays!!
No, I didn’t base my scalp, only around my hairline. U cause base yours. I have too much gray, when I did that, my roots didn’t color. You have to try it and see what works for you. Thx 4 watching
@@DesignsBySteffanie I didn't either; did fine... I'm just wondering how long it will stay colored before redoing. Used to using the permanent color that comes with a brush-- (I think Clairol?) only on my hairline in front--slight gray but nowhere else yet. Thanks
Yes, your new growth will grow out and depending upon how fast your hair grows will determine how often you need a touch up. This isn't a permanent color and washing your face every day will lighten your hair around the edges too if your hairline hair is mostly gray. Thanks for watching
Sorry to hear that. Always try new products on your wrist 1st before putting them all over if you tend to have allergies to products. Henna may be an option, it’s more natural. Thanks for watching!
Those colors sound like jazzin colors not the beautiful brown collection. Those colors are in a pink bottle and I don’t use those so not sure about a seal.
Hi Tiffney, they came right back. I am cosmetologist, but I have been retired a few years. Thanks for the info!!! My hair doesn't like heat. It didn't like it when I had a relaxer, which is why I primarily wore a wrap set. Thanks for watching!!!
anything with ash base is green…. So If you use anything green when it starts to fade you’re left with green. It’s just like with a box of crayon.. if you have a gold base and mix with a blue/violet base you’re gonna have green… yellow and blue make green. Thx 4 watching
It depends on how many times you wash it, but it will usually be lighter than the color. Put it on a paper towel and spread and you will see the color. It’s not a perm color, so it will fade as you wash it, especially if you wash frequently. But generally we don’t wash our hair daily where the fade is significant.
Great video. I purchased that dye from sallys. It seemed lk every time I dyed my hair. It ends up looking golden brassy. One time it turned green. Will this dye cause that problem. Someone told me since I have that problem I need to stick number ends in N. Right now I have demi golden brown in my hair. I have not dyed my hair since 11/22. I have plenty of grey in front. Thank you
A lot of the blacks have green undertones. The N is neutral, so that person told you correctly. Think of it the same as crayons. If you mix something that has a yellow undertone with something with a blue/black, then u will get green. So read below the color name and it will tell you if it’s a yellow/red/neutral/etc…. Thanks for watching
I’m a licensed cosmetologist and that is not a true statement. That varies from hair type, hair color, product, etc. this is why ever product tells you to do a strand test to see how that product works with your hair. There is no one size fits all. No two people have the same hair.
You could be allergic to something in the product perhaps the ammonia or peroxide. Do a patch test on your forearm to see if you have an allergic reaction to the chemicals in the product. I’m highly sensitive as well and can’t use a lot of products for that reason. Thanks for watching!!!
I watched the Clairol video first and they said this color is formulated to work with oxygen, so you’re not supposed to use a cap. Have you tried it that way?
@@DesignsBySteffanie Thanks for the tip. I will try it your way. I tried it last night and the color coverage was patchy, if at all. My grays are very resistant too! I'm also going to do tests with my hair damp (since they say wash your hair first). My first test was on dry hair that was washed the day before.
Designs By Steffanie Thanks. I’m going to do it today. I’m trying to move from permanent to semi-permanent so that 10 years from now, when I want to go all gray, I can just wash this out over time. I will say, that it’s a shame they don’t have as many colors in the gray formula! I’m trying the regular formula so I can get the color I want. Fingers- crossed!
@@DesignsBySteffanie I see ppl are having allergic reactions to the dye and I noticed some flaking around the crown of my head what would you recommend? Idk if I'm having a reaction or not but I'm super nervous after watching so many side effect videos on this product 😥
I would recommend not to use it, if you're having an allergic reaction. For any new products with chemicals, you should do a patch test on your forearm and leave the product there for as long as you're going to leave it on your head to see if you get an allergic reaction. People are allergic to different things and react different ways to products. Especially if your skin is sensitive. Thanks for watching!!!
I have never experienced hair coming out. Did you mix it with some other product? How long did you leave it in! Did you put another chemical in your hair prior to using that color? I would recommend doing a protein treatment in your hair. GO to your local stylist and let them evaluate your hair and recommend a treatment to you.
@@DesignsBySteffanie So no, no other product in my hair when I put it in...when I rinsed it out my curl pattern loosened & touching my hair (gentle pull/comb) resulted in my hair coming out. I agree w/you, in regards to a protein treatment, thank you!
Did you use a treatment? Hopefully it stopped the shedding! You may be allergic to the product. I have been using it for a lot of years with no issues. Prior to that one I used the one that wasn't for gray hair and never had any issues with that either. Before you try any new product, always do a patch test on your wrist to see if there is allergies and/or irritation to the skin.
It is not perm color, so yes it will fade, it is a semi perm. I think the bottle says 10 washes. However depending on how fast your hair grows, your roots and hairline will show your normal color at the rate it grows. Thanks for watching.
@@Dr.Sharron I've been licensed since 1993. I refer people to Sally's to get certain products that they cannot purchase without a license. I've never known of a Sally's in any State that I lived in who require a license. Just my personal experience and opinion, nothing more. Blessup
I’m a licensed cosmetologist in two states for 30+ years, this is a semi color. It is not going to hurt my scalp. All color gets on your scalp, that’s how it covers the roots coming out the scalp. Thanks for watching!
Sorry to hear that… it works well for me. I let my hair go completely gray during Covid and colored it a few weeks ago and i got 100% coverage with the gray solution.
Not sure... if I showed it in the video, check the description box, there should be an amazon link. I generally link everything there. Thanks for watching.
