You could go to playback - render cache - "smart" to render your timeline. You could also disable the node or scroll to the bottom of the plugin to "options" and change the quality from "High - slow" to "Normal - fast" for smoother playback.

The free version of DaVinci Resolve does allow the use of outside plugins yes. I don't know if Dehancer would work well though as it is quite gpu heavy and the free version of DaVinci doesn't use your gpu.

@thefruitypanouli I don't really use premiere for colour grading but that might be an interesting challenge.

Yo! So it seems that some people deal with this issue for newer versions. I haven't dealt with it so I don't really know what the issue could be. Dehancer does offer support though so I'm gonna just link you their support team: support@dehancer.com

With slog2, the main issue would be noise. Try not to go higher than iso 800-1000. Also check your f-stop and make sure it's at the suitable amount for your specific shot. Another method I use is I enable the focus highlight setting of the camera. This highlights all areas of focus in a clear "red" colour so you always know what's in focus.
