Get The MOST SHINE From Your Natural Hair | HARD WATER Test - Naptural85

How I transformed my dull natural hair into smooth, shiny natural hair! My hair started out super matted and dry looking, but with a few simple tweaks, I ended up with the glossiest, shiniest hair I've ever experienced! All you need to achieve your hair's optimum shine potential, are a few items that you probably already have in your home!
I also show you two easy ways to test your tap for Hard Water! Hard water is the arch nemesis of smooth shiny hair. If you have hard water it will be very difficult to achieve your optimum shine potential. So if you find yourself using product after product with little to no results, it may be an issue with your water, rather than your hair or the products!
Enjoy the vid! And I hope it helps!

A few things that have helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I quit wearing ponytails because it leds to tension damage. (2) I started massaging my scalp 2 times a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while leaning forward & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Protecting my head while moving out to shield my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using mild shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

In my humble estimation, your hair videos are wonderful! You have the perfect balance of pertinent information, video technique, speech, and humor. You're the only one I follow. And I watch your vlogs as well (love them). I transitioned (for the final time) 3 years ago. I have a problem wuth my hair growing out shorter on top, but your help has been invaluable. Thank you so much for sharing yourself and your beautiful family with us!

I have been using the Traders Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo and Conditioner for the last 4 months and I love it! Prior to that I was using the Organics Tea Tree Mint. I never thought of shampooing adding conditioner, washing it out and adding conditioner again for more moisture. I will try it this weekend and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the tip!

If you have hard water, it us better to buy a shower head filter to soften the water. Regular shampoos will not remove hard water build-up. Chelating shampoos are made to remove the minerals.

Shampooing the hair and scalp are great and I don't know who told us to stop using it. Not using shampoo is like not using soap to wash your hands.

They used to use actual soap to wash their hair and scalp, look at the Madame CJ Walker method on the back of a can of her hair growth solution. You don't need shampoo, you just need something that will cleanse your hair. There definitely is nothing wrong with shampoo. I thought there was and then learned that her method was to wash the hair once a week from scalp to end and then add her formula to your scalp every night or something like that.

Lately, I've been putting conditioner on my hair BEFORE putting the shampoo on. I figured my hair would still get clean enough, but the layer of conditioner would help to protect it from TOO MUCH stripping. Also, I only apply the shampoo to my scalp and close the roots of my hair, and when I rinse, the shampoo washes lightly over the rest of my hair just enough to clean it without being too harsh on my ends. You taught me a new trick, though! I will now hold my hair taught while shampooing. That will help SO MUCH because I always get matting near my scalp when I'm washing. Super Whitney saves the day again! Thanks so much.
