When I was working full time. I would take some time on the weekend to plan my outfits for the upcoming work week. Sometimes even beyond a week. Even in high school I planned my outfits. When I had a special occasion to go to, the planning would start right away. If I needed to pick up something to complete the outfit, like shoes, a wrap, a purse, I wasn't waiting until the last minute, Or I might decide I needed an entire new outfit depending on the occasion. I don't think I ever stood in my closet in the morning, coffee in hand and just wondered what I was going to wear. I had to get out the door on time to avoid traffic here in Boston and I don't like wasting time in the morning. Even now, that I am semi-retired, I plan outfits to go to the dentist, the doctors, the hair salon or out to dinner with my husband. I always know what I am going to wear a few days ahead of time. I have tried to instill this habit to my husband who sometimes gets angry at himself and his clothing when he doesn't plan in advance. Sometimes, I will say, "What are you going to wear?" a few days before we have to go somewhere. I just hate dealing with him getting angry trying to create an outfit that isn't working or needs a different shirt or tie when we are trying to get out the door. Thank you, Beth.
Wonderful video. I’ve fallen off my style wagon since Christmas. Thanks for inspiring me to climb back on. Camel cardigan, gold necklace and earrings black pants and leopard slippers. 💋
I love this idea of a "uniform" to simplify mornings. And post-menopause I'm always chilly in winter. Thank you for stylish ideas! The camel with the white and leopard is chic and fun!
This is a super smart way to look at your wardrobe staples and put looks together. I love wearing white jeans paired with camel in the winter. Great video Beth! ❤
Thank you for sharing outfit formulas for different personal styles. Personally, I don’t feel comfortable in blazers but find I can replace them in an outfit with a black leather jacket, most of the time. I love all of the outfit inspirations-you always look classy and chic with a modern touch😎
I love the white jeans and camel together. I was never brave enough to wear white in the winter but seeing that makes me ready to raid my closet and put some outfits together!
Iowa is especially cold in the winter and Iowa City was super cold walking around campus with the winds blowing and below temps! I know what you were talking about. Thanks for the reminder to incorporate a pop of bright color to lift our mood during those cold, long and dreary winter days.
I graduated from the University of Iowa in 1979. I transferred there from Central College in Pella, Iowa since my husband was a medical student in Iowa City . Loved our time there! Our oldest son was born in Iowa City (1980).
@@michellehamric6856 You jarred my memory! You've shared this with me before because we were there at the same time. That blizzard blew through January of 1979 and was a humdinger.
I forgot to say that I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. Awhile back I had commented about that and attending the university and living in Iowa City for 4 years. I remember you said you had lived in Iowa City and then in Omaha after your family moved.
I also have a very casual lifestyle and find my classic preference anything but boring! Love being able to repeat my timeless favorites with a few on trend pieces for a flawless look regardless of the season. Great content 💚
I love all of you styles so much that I’m adding the puffy jacket by LRL who I love. I’m planning on doing a purge with my clothes and donating some I haven’t been wearing. I guess I have the formula right cause my daughter was shopping for my Christmas present when her friend say that’s your Mom 😂😂.
Hi Beth! Your videos are always very inspirational! I love the colour of the lipstick you are wearing. It is bright without being too overpowering. What brand and colour is it? 😊
Why why why do I always forget about those white jeans?? That whit jeans and camel colors look SO put together! It’s out of the closet right now for my lunch date tomorrow!!! Thank you for another great set of inspirational looks! Heels and all!
😮 Beth, was that a pretty “Ricky” RL handbag in one of your photos…love it 💕‼️ You might like the new Lya tote bag by Bally. It’s got adjustable handles which make it a bit special. I just purchased that JCrew puff vest in black, it should be here this Friday. I liked that it wasn’t too thick and I can layer it under my rain coat. The Athleta one I liked that was long was sold out. We are having a winter this year in the California desert so I’m adding some winter outwear to my wardrobe. 🏜️🥶 I enjoyed this video it reminded me of how much I love leopard print (🤔). I could use some leopard print flats 🥿 😂.
Great video! For ten years I had to be at work for 6am. I have been picking my outfits out the night before and hanging them on a special hook over my door ever since.
I just had to have that black watch puffer jacket. I found it on sale at Macys for $156.00. I absolutely love it! I can’t wait to get it home. 🥰🥰🥰 BTW, I love your inspirational outfits. I can always find at least one example that works for me. I appreciate what you do. 🥰
I love all these outfits! I can adapt them to my weather and even put some of them together from my closet. I was about to give away my navy and white striped long sleeve tee, but I’m keeping it.
I love all of these outfits and would wear all except the white with 3 leopard accessories. For me that's at least 1 too many leopard accessories but it looks great on you. Love your style Beth.
